Remember after toddygate how excited we were that we were linked to Ben Hampton. Funny game footy, you would think the club will sell 5k kids jersey with barba's name on before round 1. Marketing idea $60-$80 kids membership plus you get a signed barba 6 jersey... Someone ring marketing.

Yes, Barba is just what we need. Another great attacking player with no (attacking) support players, and no defense whatsoever, not to mention a coach that cant even spell attack.
Why dont we pay 2 million for him...

Seriously, what the **** is wrong with ppl here. Yes, we need talent, but we also need to be serious about it. This guy comes with a huge pricetag, and offers close to nothing for the sharks :|
Mate, we're in no position to knock back players like ben barba. Would you have been happier if holdsworth got a contract extension ?

I am not adverse to signing Barba but this will mean Nu Brown will likely spend the year in reserve grade with the odd appearance on the bench as back up hooker instead of continuing to develop him in the halves.

Its time to start building a team for the next 8 years not finding quick fixes for a couple of years.

Maybe spending a bit of time running the Jets as halfback would be a good learning curve, i'm doubtful a Barba/Brown combo would work straight up... then again direction from Ennis would certainly help.

Ben Barba is 25 years old, if he plays with us until he's 33 we have planned for the next 8 years

Brilliant news, dragons confirm they have signed Kris KEATING! Outstanding for us!

They've also confirmed Kyle Stanley leaving, potentially positive depth signing for us on the cheap.

My thoughts exactly. Why stuff around with Robson. Barba is an exciting prospect from many points of view especially marketing I like him and Brown in the halves.

Excited to see Barba potentially coming to the club. The best point made so far is the potential for MARKETING revenue should Barba start to reignite the spark of 2012. Goldmine.

I'm excited to see who they go with for the backline spots, even more excited to know that J Wright and Ayshford are almost 0% chance of being anywhere NEAR the starting team. First time in years that our backline hasn't been made up of nuffies.

I would love to see that we at Least give it a go. Nu should be a part of our now and future , he has talent and ability with some good 1/2 training and kicking he could be the goods at 1/2.

It would be very sad if we kill his spirit as we have in the past ,and then he looks elsewhere. From what little I saw of him he stood up very well in a spare parts team with no real combination and a spare part lightweight pack.

If he was at the Tigers he would be well in line for 1st grade. Plus he has a nice smile.
