So from what we have heard it seems we've made an offer, as have other clubs, but either our original or counter offers have been enough so far to for him not to sign elsewhere.

Aside from his salary, he's the type of player that will earn good endorsement money anyway, and he can earn that no matter where he plays.

Facey saying the Dragons have confirmed offering Fifita a 5 year, $750k per season contract.

LOL Lui...No way. Members would never allow it. I also doubt Manly will be letting go of Jorge anytime soon. Napa is an exciting prospect. If we lost Fifita, but managed to sign Napa, then we'd definitely have extra money to secure a hooker or winger. I don't think our centre situation is that dire anymore, Leutele and dare I say Ayshford might be good enough. We need better wingers than Feki, Wright, or Grothe, however.

Call me an eternal optimist, but I have a gut feeling Fifita will stay.

Haha yeah sorry Slide, Facey = Facebook. Who knows what's credible all there, just thought I'd mention it. And yeah no way I want Lui at our club. I'd rather us have taken Ashley Madison's money than be an advertisement for the minor penalties of woman bashing.

I think the reason why players often aren't swayed by the highest bid is tax. An extra 100k on a contract only bets you around 60k of that. Sure it's a lot of dough but I think it dampens the appeal of taking the highest bid.

He'd have to be cheap, and he's a ****in good player..

Everyone makes mistakes etc etc. halfback should be priority number 2.

1. Wade
2. HB
3. A major sponsor that stays on
4. a decent centre
5. A new coach

14. Fafita

I think you are forgetting about uncle Nick's and Rusty's mates of mates deals in 3rd party endorsements. The Sharks do dont have those connections.
