I reckon there's zero chance he plays anywhere but in the middle.

Melbourne's recruitment has been interesting. Five years ago they had gun backs and got by with a small, mobile but largely mediocre pack.

Theyve now got some ordinary backs but a fuggen monstrous pack. Proctor, Harris (who will probably take Hoffman's spot), McClean and Jesse Bromwich are all well over 190cm and 110kg but they're quick. Nelson Alofa-Solomona (sp) who has been playing for the Storks as an 18 year old is another. Huge, mobile, fit... great recruiting and development.

TLL is similar dimensions and adds a bit of a hard edge to them I reckon. Big upside but may not play a game.

Big yes to Reece Robinson. I think he is the speed this side needs. Have always wanted to see him in sharks colors.

I am pretty sure he and his brother travis have both played for us in there junior years

The knock on Reece Robinson is that he's a bit allergic to contact... of we could get him carrying the ball with the kind of venom that Feki and Holmes did tonight then he'd be a top signing. He's got about 15 tries this year despite spending half of it in reserve grade.

Yep, definitely noticed this as well. Their recruiters are fantastic (P.S. Coach Shep was previously a recruiter for them during some of their glory years, when they had gun backs and the small mobile pack... a bit like we played tonight)

WHICH WARRIORS CENTRE SHOULD WE MAKE A PLAY FOR ?

Hurrell to rejoin Feki?

MATAI SAYS NO TO MANLY CONTRACT EXTENSION

Steve Matai has returned the favour to the Manly Sea Eagles, knocking back an approach to keep him at the club for life.

Just six weeks after the Sea Eagles refused to grant Matai a release to join the New Zealand Warriors on a four-year deal worth $2.4 million, the Kiwi International has rejected a two-year contract extension that would keep him at Brookvale until the end of 2017.

Matai’s agent, Gavin Orr, confirmed the extension talks would be stalled until he learns whether Manly can also upgrade the 30-year-old for 2015 — the final season of his current deal.

Manly have been trying to secure Matai’s signature prior to the November 1 deadline, at which point rival clubs are permitted to negotiate directly with the player. It’s believed the two-year extension is worth $1 million.

Gee at his age who can blame him for wanting to sign a four year deal at 2.4m. That's massive.

I just can't see them releasing Hurrell. If we signed a prop would we just release Fifita? Of course not.

Matai plays on the opposite side to Hurrell as well. He'd be a super signing for them - a hard nosed winner whose still in his prime.

Luamape and/or Nelson are yge ones that might get squeezed out. Luamape through lack of opportunity and Nelson because of his wage. Luamape would suit our right centre spot nicely.

Laumape is a fantastic player, he'd definitely be the one we should think of chasing.

Imagine if we did get Hurrell though? Him and DJ in a video together would be interesting viewing.
