Are you two serious? At the moment we have 1 possibly 2 NRL standard centres and wingers even that's debatable. You need three or four of each in your squad. Stapo gone, Ryan gone, Wright gone, Ashford is rubbish.

Yep I'm serious Taka is rank average. If you had a good attacking side and you were looking for a solid centre or a backrower then he would be a good option. For us he is a terrible option.

He has scored a huge 2 tries this year with a massive 5 line breaks in a side that's much better in attack than ours.

He has a decent tackle break and offload rate though which makes sense as really he's a backrower.

Taka is not a good fit for our side and we would need to pay big money to get him due to his public disliking of Cronulla.

A big no for me.

What is the point of repeating mistakes of the past? Taka is not a proven try scorer ever and he doesn't setup many - better off being non competitive next year and hitting the market for a try scorer then filling our cap with blokes who can't.

We won't win the comp next year - probably won't make the finals and Taka would not change that. So it would be a waste of cap.

I get where you are coming from and I dream as well of having a couple of lethal backs who can score tries. But where they are coming from. Who is on the market?
We've got some holes to fill and I actually don't mind Taka from what Ive seen. I think he would be a good addition to our centres ranks.
Id take him over Mitch Brown.

Off contract now no there is not a lot. From November the 1st though we can be hitting up the following players for 2016 or even an early release for 2015.

Tim Simona, Travis Robinson, Hurrell, one of the Mata'utia brothers, James Roberts, Gagai, Will Hoppa - hit him hard with decent money push to get them released.

If Taka wants to come down to play for minimum wage then fine but seeing as he is on good coin any of the above are better waiting for.

AGREE . Also I want to see our young backs stay in first grade unless we somehow nail a super back . Taka would be guaranteed a starting spot at a youngins expense . In addition Snowy was the one who said he doesn't like the Sharks . IF True a big NO .
