I don't know why DeGois is the biggest fall guy in this. He has been no better or worse than Morris. I'll be glad to see the back of both of them. But honestly, Ennis is not the biggest upgrade as far as playing style goes. He will do basically the same job as DeGois only slightly better.

Im referring to the pushing players in the ruck and niggling

i want ennis for his durability leadership and most importantly he plays 80

he wont be a spark in attack, but he improves it by engaging markers and having a kicking game

also a 2 year deal is perfect to groom deitz into first grade

He won't need to be a spark when you have a fully fit Carney, Lewis, Gal, Holmes and Brown.

He is a perfect fit for us.

Yeah, he will def organise our pack better and demand a higher standard but essentially they are a similar style of hooker. If we are looking for a dynamic, explosive hooker then we have missed the boat. Don't get me wrong pops, he will be the best hooker we have had in ages but he won't open up games by any means. He will suit our style of play...sigh.

De Gois is still a good player, good defender. We haven't many players left, keep him here!!

Yeah I get what you're saying - I'd love to get a young gun hooker, but he's far more realistic given our options and he brings experience

He engages markers, instantly better than our hookers

Exactly right. Hookers that engage the markers and A defenders instantly drag the defence in. Part of the reason why we never seem to have numbers when we go wide, haha.
