I would take taupau on a minimal contract for 1st yr but with incentives To achieve by year out and following years and if he achieves things like minimal handling errors , certain metres per game And so on, it would increase his contract for following year

The problem is - there are 6 teams thinking they will take him on the minimum - so the price will go up - are we still interested then ?

I still think he had a lot to offer and fits into the ethos Fitz is building
Guy is a weapon trainer, well cultured and brings experience to the team
Would fit in well alongside McInnes and Finucane

BRAD FEARNLEY (prop)
A former recipient of the Panthers’ SG Ball Player of the Year award, Fearnley has made the switch from the west to the south. The 21-year-old Bathurst product is an oldschool, no-nonsense type of player, who would have been right at home in the 1980s. Fearnley — the son of former Eel, John — has put his job as a student learning support officer on hold to spend the summer with the Sharks.

TOM RODWELL (winger)
The son of former Illawarra Steeler, Brett Rodwell, joined the Sharks’ Jersey Flegg side this year from the Dragons and impressed enough to earn his first train-and-trial opportunity with the NRL squad.

CALEB UELE (prop)
The younger brother of Sharks prop Braden Hamlin-Uele, Caleb played 16 games for the Newtown Jets in NSW Cup this season after signing with Ron Massey Cup feeder side Glebe Dirty Reds. Uele was living in New Zealand until his brother urged him to pursue his NRL dream, telling him: “You have nothing to lose.” The two now live together.
