Hastings must be super toxic if the Tigers aren't retaining their best and most influential player from 2022.

Going back to Brooks running the show if they can't replace him, wtf are they thinking even if Brooks has a better team around him is much going to actually change
hastings has been at 5 clubs now, and all 5 have been happy to see him leave

he seems like a great guy on twitter and reacts and interacts with fans very positively, but around the club he seems to have underlying issues

Still only 26 years old, wonder if he can get to double figures.

newcastle is number 6. problem is they love a problem child
Could even stretch to 7
Originally a Dragons junior and was contracted to them so you could guess they didn't mind letting him leave either

I don't want Miller released, serious x factor, and better if given a Proper go.
I don't think anyone wants him released. But there is a certain level of doing right by the player too, which can make you a more attractive club for other players.

Out of curiosity, where would you play him to give him that proper go?

I appreciate the sentiment about giving a bloke a proper go but Miller isn't better than any of the incumbents when all are fit. He may live up to his potential but may have to move to do it.

Maybe living closer to Coffs is appealing

The Knights have picked up a few Sharks players over the years.

Trying to think of the reverse. Apart from getting Noodles back, there was that guy who called Wayne Bennett an 8-ball - Mark Taufua.

And Matty Johns, but we got him from Wigan really. Darren Albert via St Helens.

Tim Madison if Hunter Mariners counts.

Here we go, Wikipedia gave me the below:

Dustin Cooper. Kade Snowden. Terence Seu Seu. Trent Hodkinson.

This bloke will surprise a lot of people next year. And we will regret letting him go.
Talking about Miller.

We are the club that gave the bloke a go in the first place and the reason he is in a position to be attractive to other rugby league clubs. Not saying he hasn't put the effort in himself but we were the club that rolled the dice on him and got him established in NRL

Doing the nice guy thing in the past with our depth hookers and outside backs ect has often come back to sting us when we end up needing them. In past years we have released alot of solid good value cheap/ish players which has hurt our depth but not really helped our cap that much.

Not against the guy getting a start at another NRL club but there needs to be a benefit for us in terms of a player coming back our way as I don't think Miller frees up much of our cap and then we would need to have a reason to use that extra cap space

If Kennedy or Dykes were a sure thing at FB for us no worries but they both still have alot to learn and work on to lock down the Cronulla FB spot long term so we might still need Miller pending form, injuries, suspensions ect of Kennedy and Co.

Millers NRL career could nose dive quickly at a pleb club if it doesn't work out for him as it's alot more responsibility on his shoulders and he will be afforded little patience and expected to perform and do all the FB things from the get go. Also his team might not play well enough to let him shine and if these things happens no one is going to take a chance on him again at his age and relatively lack of NRL experience.

I get he wants game time and only has a handful of years to make some coin in NRL but that's kinda his dilemma not ours, we didn't make him sign the contract

I like Miller, I hope he stays and knuckles down at the Sharks, he showed good promise for us in a handful of games

Well we didn't have to let him go, good luck to him.

Way too much black white and blue glasses when it comes to this bloke. Dykes and Iro are what it's all about, not Miller.

And I'd say Kennedy and Dykes are far more of a sure thing at FB than Miller. Easily.
