This dude HAS to go , you'd think

On Monday evening, The Daily Telegraph released leaked emails that appeared to show Sea Eagles commercial boss Luke Tucker and Manly’s general manager of football John Bonasera were aware of the jersey design in May.

Tucker wrote in an email: “I just want to double check before production commences that we won’t have any issues with any players wearing these jerseys for this one-off game

Bonasera responded: “Don’t see an issue at all mate.”

Tucker elaborated: “It’s for everyone. Male, female, gay, straight, black, white, etc, etc. It’s certainly not just focused on LGBTQ.”

The Daily Telegraph reports Bonasera did not pass the information on to Hasler, with the general manager of football later apologising to the veteran coach over the communication breakdown.
As Gus has said, jerseys don't just change overnight, it takes a long time and there are procedures that need to be followed.

Always be wary of the Manly "Outsider" fall guy story. Follow the Breadcrumbs, and it will invariably lead to generational Manly bloodlines.

they can have him - he will never be an elite halfback...he has had his chance
Age 25 is D Day for me when it comes to middles and halves. We should keep him. Fitz rates him and apparently Bellamy too, so I’d rather wait and see.

It’d be dumb to release him so we can sign a journeyman half.

Yeah we need trindall for next year imo. Nicho will most likely play origin and Moylan is no guarantee to play out the season. Would be stupid letting him go.

Dykes and Miller are good injury cover for Moylan at 6, and the team shouldn't really be making decisions based on the 1-2 games that Nicho might miss in July. Trindall is one of the better depth halves getting around, so you wouldn't walk away from him - but if someone else want's to offer him a 3 year contract and a shot as a starter you don't stand in his way either.

Trindall leaving would leave a big hole in depth at #7 (big gap between NRL players and Rivett) so you'd want to look at replacing him in the squad with an experienced Cup player (e.g. Davies, Johns) who will come cheap, be happy to play Cup, and could do an OK job for a week or two if needed in the NRL.

Ideal situation imo would be Rivett playing all year for the Jets all season, though he is born in 2002 so still eligible for one more year of Flegg.

Is Miller good halves cover? I still don't see it.

Re: Miller... I mean if you need a guy for a week or two with Hynes running the show.

I don't mean specifically sign Johns. Just someone at that stage of his career. Mid-20's, cheap, happy to play for the Jets, capable of filling in for a game or two but won't get you out of your seat.

Curtis Rona looking to return to the NRL with the Titans being his likely destination.

I'd be going Kurt Falls - experience at a winning culture and has tasted first grade - capable just not sure how much $$ he would want
