From one of RL's richest deals? What for?

You know how it works, someone else picks up the tab or pays a % of it - there are **** desperate clubs everywhere.

You reckon the Tigers wouldn't **** off a player or 3 to make it happen? They don't just need halves they need a fullback, same for Bulldogs ect.

What about the Dolphins in a few seasons - clubs that can free up enough coin to make room for a Munster could afford a Ponga (even if it would be a dud call)

No way Munster goes to the tigers. But it’s a blood good offer 😂

They could buy him an island in the whitsundays and a helicopter to get to training and it still wouldn't be enough

Knight will chip in say 400k and the other team will take him on 800k. Likely be the broncos or Roosters as they don’t have a cap 😂

Yea if Pinga doesn't start lifting his form over a season why would you want to keep hold of him in your cap? I relise the whole squad has challenges and that might not help Ponga play his best game (we have seen him in Origin) but all the more reason to take that Ponga money and start addressing those other squad gaps

You can have a decent/good fullback for 1/2 or 2/3 of what Ponga is on

Alot of it is on Ponga himself though, some games he doesn't seem that interested and is a passenger. If you are paid like him you are being expected to elevate the quality and competitiveness of that squad most of every week and he doesn't deliver that

Kinda like D.Fifita at Titans even if he is their best and most highly paid player he doesn't look like it sometimes attitude and performance wise

He's s been there for 5 years now and is as overated now as he was back then. Nothing has changed.

Can't see why they would extend him after 5 years to then suddenly realise he's not that good.

It's a good fit, average player at an average club.

I've always been a TPJ fan, but I'll admit that the price to have him here has dropped significantly.

I'd still take him at 400k to be a bench prop.
