I think he owes Sharks and should give us first crack.
I do not think he feels that way.

I also think having him back will re-open all the references back to the peptides scandal. We are portrayed in such a positive light in the media right now, do we really want to risk that?

Anyone listen to this?

Just did. I think we all knew they could negotiate come November 1. I think the club is in a strong position because why would they want to leave?

Culture is great, premiership chances over coming years looks great, club in good position.

Clubs would have to pay way overs to get them you would think. I would prioritise our wingers first then Ramien, Talakai then Kennedy.

In Mooney / Fitz we trust!

I think the club needs to be really smart in:

- the amount they offer Talakai
- the amount they offer Kennedy. I think Dykes could take his spot. The club doesn’t want to be in another Moylan / Trindall position

I don’t think they offer Kennedy a new deal.

Stonestreet, Dykes & Iro will all be first grade ready in 2024.
All at least 50% cheaper than who they would replace on current deals.

You don’t pay 2 wingers or 2 centres top money you keep 1 of each and fill the other with cap friendly replacements.

You definitely don’t pay big money on the 6-7th best fullback in the comp, what he is on now is probably to high imo, no way do you get into a bidding war or pay overs.

I think they will but it will be the same length of Dykes contract

I would save the Kennedy coin and upgrade maybe Talakai. If the club does re sign Kennedy, it’s a cheap contract.

I was more thinking Dykes was Moylans eventual replacement.

I don't think Kennedy would be ever demanding the top fullback money so isn't he a good investment?
Maybe mate. I haven’t seen his passing ability to comment.

What he's on now is too high? What is he on?

DT say 400k

Their list has him on 50k less than Laurie (and Hammer who isn't even making 17 most weeks) and 50k more than Campbell & Walsh.
100k less than CNK and Edwards.
TMM, Dufty/Averillo and Sloan/Ramsay only much cheaper ones.

Seems like if that is all roughly correct it's hard to realistically expect we could have him on any less.

Dykes has desert eagles in his fingers, he's the long-term 5/8 after Moylan for mine.
He has thrown some absolute crackers in Cup, that's why I also think he may transition into 5/8 sooner rather than later although FB isn't a bad starting point.

I like Hynes at 7 personally I would like to keep him long term, may be Dykes vs Trindall for the other jersey after the Moylan contract ends and the timing of that works better for Dykes as Trindall could be forgiven starting (I guess, continuing) to look elsewhere by then.

I love Tricky, see a lot of upside in him although somewhat biased, both from Wee Waa, only breed killers there 😉

I could definitely see Dykes starting at the back before moving into the front line later on and would be happy with it since would mean keeping Trindall.

Just not sure I want it to be at the expense of Will, certainly has areas in his game that still need improvement but we've seen improve himself consistently each year and believe Fitz can bring even more out of him.
I also think that shoulder has been troubling him alot more this year than he has been letting on.

Thought his upgrade had him around $525k.

Maybe, that'd still be pretty fair compared to those other numbers though other than Edwards who is on unders currently.
You're always going to pay a bit of a premium on NRL capable spine players, they are just too important.
