Dunno how much coin that’ll save them, didn’t they get him on a cheapish contract, I’d be thinking they only re coup half of that from us
Yeah presumably we'd pay the rest of the season, probably a couple hundred k maybe?
Assuming he signed around 400ish - which is a pretty good value contract for him, he had been playing well

Seems like a good value deal to us, clears up 200k for them to front load onto some muppet to help get Kikau and Mahoney contracts done.
Kind of them giving up on this season but... not unfairly. And helps them a bit for next year.

On that there's a lot of confusion around Dogs fans how Sutton supposedly confirmed but Kikau and Mahoney still not approved by NRL. Sutton may have signed earlier? I think there was some rumours around that move in pre season

Fifita or Williams. Take your pick

I’ve grown to value what Fifita is doing at the moment, I’ve come to appreciate his presence and leadership in the team.
Williams might not be in our best 17 on current form when everyones fit as much as I like what he brings, remember Dale might move to the front row to accommodate Cam in the 13 jumper, then you’ve got to have either Rudolf or BHU on the bench.
The other middle on our bench would be Tolman and I value what he’s bringing, especially defensively at the moment.

So that would give us a bench of Tolmam, Fifita, Rudolf/BHU and a backrower (Wilton/Nikora/Talakai/Graham). Plus you’ve got Williams, Hunt, Pele and the other young guys that impressed in the trials.

I dunno mate, I just dont see any reason to replace any of them, thats just me though.

Next year? Yeah, if Tolman and Fifita leave then you can bring in Kaufusi and Vaughan in their spots for sure, unless someone like Pele explodes onto the scene. **** man who knows.

If we signed Vaughan for couple years good chance Fifita, Williams, Hunt and Pele all leave
(replaced by Kaufusi, Vaughan and 2 of Hazelton/Calquhoun/Martin)

Tolman probably 50/50 to stay, with other of three named above a candidate to come into top 30 if Tolman leaves.

That's the one! ****en lunatic her old man. Unfortunately I think I heard he wasn't just a sideshow but a right **** to her.

haha what happened to that super star? Wasn't he origin bound & too good for a $300k deal?
yeah he's a ****ing nutter. I've been good mates with Bernard Tomic since i was a kid. Mate his old man is right up there also.

Look in the dictionary under the word '*******' and his name will appear.

Vaughan this year would be massive.

the dogs can't afford him for next year so if he's to get say a 2 or 3 year deal starting this year he'll be demanding a release 100%.

Fifita has been solid this year no doubt but the bloke is still on one leg. He practically limps to the defensive line. I see more upside in having Vaughn if he was gonna sign with us in my opinion.

Vaughan is some what of a no brainer as long as he passes the Fitz evil stare down and no knobs policy plus it was the dragons that he screwed over the other year is not a negative in my book he hates them like any of us.

I said no to Vawn last time his name came up. Nothing to do with how he plays, I didn't think we needed his type of character in our club at the time. Now I think our club has a strong enough character & culture of its own to positively influence Vorn rather than him go off the rails & take others along with him.
