We've certainly had some duds.

There's only one way to fix a winger problem- buy another back rower.

Yep and theyll move lewis there haha

Seriously, im happy for us to work on our 1,2,3,5,7,9 for next year.

If that means shifting gordon and feki to wing and centre bringing in holmes. Signing a new top notch 5, a decent half with creativity and vision, and if that means robbo to 9 and another bench hooker (maybe brown?) so be it.

Can't see any player with a choice coming signing on this year. We may not think so but the majority of people expect ASADA to butt rape us.

Until they do or don't nobody with talent will touch us. Need to look internally and fast before other sides take our remaining talent.

Even without the asada crap I dont see any exciting backs coming to us because of our boring attacking structures. We would have to pay overs to try and sway them and cronulla doesnt like spending top dollar either

Yep. that's why I think signing players to short contracts is probably the best option at the moment.

If we're going to have to pay overs for players - we don't want those contracts to be too lengthy.

Genuine signing spree may need to come once the dark clouds have lifted.

Mansour, make it happen please.

As for Koriobete:

@crazyeagles71 Any truth to rumours of Koriobete to Sharks before mid-season window closes?

The Lurker: I heard it was a chance a week or two back but since they lost another winger from their NSW Cup side, Taqele Naiyaravoro, to rugby recently, the move is off.

If the management actually sat down and thought things through, they would realise that it would be far better to chase down a temporary coach other than Sharp who actually has a decent attacking game plan and who teaches ball control discipline. Sharp is failing badly, and no player of note - in their right mind, would consider coming to the Sharks while current coaching arrangements are in place.

Think long term though. Flanno is back in a few months time, he will be back for the off season and most players will be looking at coming in 2015 and beyond so that wont be much of a concern for potential signings looking at our club. However, the ASADA problem is another kettle of fish as that will effect next season if the rumors are true.... but who knows

New signings are about all this club can hope for so I know people get excited for good news but as I've said all year we won't be landing anyone of note. Mansour will never come here.

Every year we have less of the current playing group exposed to potential bans.

Next year John Morris will most likely be gone, leaving Gal, Toops and Graham in the top squad. Although they are all good players, the impact to the playing group is becoming more minimal all the time. To put it in to perspective, you could EASILY lose those players through injury anyway. Hell, we started this year worse off anyway.

Only problem is the cap space. Don't know how much these guys are on but it would probably be 1.5mil a year between them.
