I know you’ve tried to temper my concerns somewhat in the past with this idea, but it just doesn’t sit well with me that we don’t have a strong kicking game in the halves.

Kicking game is a major concern, don't read anything I've written as an attempt to temper that, start panicking NOW.
If Moylan doesn't start ****ing kicking other teams will just pressure and punish Hynes.

The best I can do to address that is point out Moylan will only play half the season so at least Trindall can help kick during the other half.

Connor Watson's onfield attitude reminds me a bit of Greg Bird. Tough, aggressive and competitive.

Off field he's meant to be great too. Lots of charity work and good team mate.

I was a bit on the fence on Watson but warming to the idea when you look at our depth and players playing out of position. Especially during the game when you lose players. Tracey has been valuable but throw in McInnes who can move to hooker if need and Watson who can cover anywhere and it really covers you during the game.

That's if we're actually interested still, i thought he was asking too much.

It’s a flimsy straw to grasp but I’ll grab it as tight as I can if I see Moylan in the halves round 1 next year.

Yeah I’m slowly warming to idea of Watson in the 14 since Tracey’s unlikely to fill the role. Didn’t want him initially because I thought we were looking at him as a halfback and I didn’t want us to kick Tracey to the curb out of the 14 role, but with Tracey looking increasingly likely to be at centre next season, I’m starting to see the logic in bringing Watson in, if he’s open to the idea of playing as a 14.

Just spend some of Bellaches money on Andrew Johns for 6 months teaching all players in key positions kicks and tricks .

He could always kick a ball. Can't fight his team out of trouble despite that boot. Moses looks all sideways to me. Must drive Joey nuts.

Also I don't think kicks & tricks are the problem. Game management & the footy smarts is missing not the trick shots. Trindall doesn't get much better where it matters by learning a banana kick.

Yeah trick shots win you the odd game but consistently getting the fundamentals right goes along way to successful season.

Id spend it on Matthew Johns to be honest. Joey the better player but i reckon Matty would be the better coach/mentor

Well you didn't say that. All you did was ask a question that you already knew the answer for.
