Well with Johnson, Moylan, Fifita, Woods and Dugan all off contract next year we will have a war chest to chase the best talent out there.

We should defn see if Trindall has what it takes before looking outside. QLD Origin juniors, won Jersey Flegg first year with us, moved up to NSW cup and won the State and Nationals. Very good goal kicker, very good in field kicking game, massive boot too.

Middle forwards is what we need desperately imo - prop and a lock. Experienced.
Won two 3 GFs in a row, but we out hear whining about a guy who lost two in a row

He's super athletic and shows some potential but if we had to put much money into it I'd rather keep Ronnie/Katoa pairing and try fix somewhere else.

Agree 13 and prop depth are both big concerns at the moment, and then the issue of the halves...

I’d still get him. Ronaldo’s future may well end up being in the centres.

He would be a good grab if you can get him, looking very solid and the fact he's already been captain indicates you should be getting a good long term team player as well

I’d be going all out for him. Play him at prop or lock.

Burgess or snowman, you guys no more about our juniors than anyone.

Is Trindall a genuine player of the future for us in the halves? Or do we need to look elsewhere?

Genuine prospect for mine (but still a year or so off being ready). His kicking game is top notch and both his defence and his running game improved a lot during last season. He’s not going to be a superstar, but I think Witt the right halves partner he could be a solid first grader. He won’t necessarily win you games with the flashy play but he can kick to the right areas and he can hold his own in defence. NSW Cup is cancelled for this season but there is some talk about getting a short comp going so guys like Trindall can get some footy this year. Fingers crossed for RL in general that this can happen. Plenty of good prospects all across the game are missing out on development.

One minor thing... Snowman said that Trindall has had some off field issues previously. I don’t any details - just passing on something posted on here previously.

Is Lindsay Collins available? He’d be an ideal replacement for Fifita for next season.

I’m still grumbling a bit that Dino couldn’t conjure a miracle and convince Uncle Nick to part with Collins as part of the Morris deal. Would be great for our pack.

Plenty of players there we could chase with the money we’ll have

On that list the ones that seem realistic (Though depends on Raiders/Panthers form as hard to sign a player in a good team without paying large overs)

Moeaki Fotuaika (Mini Taumalolo, big rig and decent work rate just needs minutes)
Brandon Smith (No way you get him but would throw the bank on the chance Grant hangs around and he gets frustrated, gun. Worst case he plays lock go after Finucane)
James Fisher-Harris (Has a bit of mongrel, hits and runs hard)
Corey Horsburgh (big ranga, huge wraps on him but doubt he goes without $$$)
Patrick Carrigan (Same but would put him above Horsburgh, would throw the bank at him as huge future but doubt he leaves)
Addin Fonua-Blake (Probably cheaper than Taupau and can be a weapon on his day)

Prior to the resumption he was Jason Ryles MkII with dropped balls and hairbrained penalties at the worst times. Was a beast last night.

Problem is unless we turn things around soon we'll very quickly become one of those teams that needs to pay overs to attract decent players.

When Radley is off contract, we need to go after him with all seriousness.
We shouldn’t waste our time pursuing players who’ll never sign. Extracting anyone from the Roosters will never happen unless they’re in the outer.
