An extra time field goal by skipper Jamie Soward gave the Sydney Roosters an historic 14-13 victory over Cronulla in the Jersey Flegg rugby league grand final at Telstra Stadium.
The win ensured the Roosters became the first team since St George's first grade side in 1959 to go through a season undefeated.

PJ Peter Taylor.. I’ll be stuffed
Won the Buckley shield in 2000 with him and Tommy Leroyd (now Tom Leroyd Lahrs) I played fullback. Good team
TL signed for Broncos and PJ for Souths, never heard from PJ again, looks like he got close for Roosters, Christ he was a good schoolboy player.
