That tweet is from straight after the news of the petition went public right? At least a 95%+ chance it was just a joke.
If anything he maybe could have sorted something since then perhaps, but still pretty unlikely.

Luke Thompson from the super league has signed with the dogs for next year.

Snowman, got any info on this bloke? Apparently he’s a standout over there as a front rower?

Out and out the best front rower in Super League
Dogs have got a great player - will be better than Graham was for them.
Sad that we havent gone in for him

The problem with Rat oy was that he was a standout FB in SL - and came to the NRL where every team has gun FB's
I also think the problem was that he went to the warriors and that had he gone elsewhere to a team with a more structured style of play the outcome would have been different.
Tomkins plays off the cuff football, and ive said for years that the probelm with the warriors is that they had too many players who do that.

But regarding Thommo, all you need to do is look at the forwards that come here (and not the backs) - Burgess's , Graham, Bateman, Ellis
As someone who is from St.Helens originally i do still keep an eye on them - and hes pre class.
