Just seen someone post

We should swap Moylan for Materson (tigers)
Have the tigers take Moylans full fee
We’ll take matterson on say 450k
Freeing up 450k for us which we can throw at Ramien

Beat me to it HB LOL
Gumby your out of your mind if you think the Tigers or anybody for that matter are going to even contemplate taking on Moylan’s full freight. Sorry mate but you simply are.

Snowy and Burgess , do you reckon with an extra 6kg , could he cut the mustard and be a top 8 NRL Fullback , if his speed was uneffected ?

As snowman said, it depends what you value in a FB. Kennedy is already a significantly better playmaker than several blokes playing NRL but he needs to get the simple mistakes out of his game and needs to get better in defence (both individually and positionally as a FB).

The thing I don't hear many people talk about is how important it is to have a fullback who can organise the defence.
Barba was brilliant, Moylan looks good, Dugan not so much... It's not something you see in the highlight reels but communication and organisation are amongst the most important traits for mine. Any new player in that position really needs to tick that box.

If you’re referring to Rudolph I thought we was a prop.
But in regards to matterson, he is a proven first grader whose also on the verge of playing origin. The 13 is such an important position and we need someone playing there who plays at a consistent level. Matterson fits that.
Williams defence for me is a massive concern, I don’t believe he’s ready/capable at this stage to be playing big minutes in that role week in week out.

Rudolf is equally at home at back row or lock. He rarely plays prop.

Agree with you on Williams. Didn’t realise Matterson had actually been playing at 13 regularly though. I’d seen him wearing 13 but was playing either 6 or back row.

Few teams swinging back away from lock being 3rd prop (Roosters, Bunnies, Storm with Wombat).
Think Matterson would have no worries doing a good job for a team in 13

The hight was a joke but comparing Kennedy to cnk, Kennedy could be 2ft taller and still nowhere near cnk as a player.

kennedy is younger and was a better player in nswcup last year than cnk

cnk just found a club willing to give him a go and worked hard

kennedy probably has more natural talent but is error riddled

id give him a crack if he can stack some weight on

ok

on that basis ronaldo should have never played for us again then

in fact, it was that bad he should have had his contract ripped up and sent to toronto

I think he’d be great. Would you sign him at the expense is losing Wilton though? Wilton will be an NRL regular somewhere by 2021 at the latest.

No reason for him to stay if his path is blocked by Wade Graham and 2 blokes under 25. I reckon at least half the teams in the NRL would chase him if he became available.
