I think I remember at some stage (in the last maybe 2 years) that the NRL has decided to be much more strict on the lodging of contracts that are heavily back ended.
For one, they don't represent that players true value at the start and then at the end they cause headaches for the club and NRL managing salary cap.

He'd probably be wise to look for another opportunity. I think Kane Evans probably needs a shake up too he has the physical ability to be better than Cup
