it's ok gumby you're just getting used to a fullback that understands positioning and how to actually make a tackle

and with Dugan in the 1 from this week you will get used to a player that doesn't phone it in

I didn't relise there was anyone left that hadn't moved on from Val. he has nothing to offer us anymore

You're kidding. I'd take the Val that left us (dunno what he's like RL-wise now) over 2 Moylans or Dugans at fullback.

Do they drug test these grid iron douches when they come back to the NRL? If he's like Hayne and develops hips like Marilyn Monroe then they should set up a testing tent at the airport.

I have moved on, but...

we all know that the NRL treat teams equally and make consistent judgements, so I don’t see any reason why they won’t bend the cap rules again to bring a player back from the NFL.

for the Cowboys!

In your head, rent free
we can always do a deal with the cowboys for a player in 2020

i'd be open to it, dont really want val, his ego and circus back in town for 10 weeks then going north

let him go north and take someone off their hands

Well it won’t be bolstered with any of the Cowboys 1-5 except for Nene McDonald but he only just moved there after being homesick...

Val pissing off let us get SJ and shifted Mozza to FB - our spine is better overall, there's heaps of points in it where's before we were relying on one bloke at the back lighting it up

also as I said Val's defense is horrid, might have got better - don't really give a ****

I just don't see how either the player Val or the Club Sharks could just shake hands, move on and have some sort of working relationship again. yea Flanno is gone but there would still be bad blood in the joint and we have already made plans in his absence.

it's probably a different conversation if he were willing to put his ego aside and commit to something long term with the Sharks but yea nah ain't happening

if it was a short term thing for half a season (wont happen), stick him back out on the wing and let the non bailing players continue to Gel in the spine

Moylan at FB is a much better fit for our team than Val was imo, as good as Val was.

If we had two gun halves then I'd say Val, but we don't.

Enari Tuala (born 19 October 1998) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays as a centre for the North Queensland Cowboys in the NRL.

Born in Cairns, Queensland, Tuala is of Samoan descent and played his junior rugby league for the Edmonton Storm, before being signed by the North Queensland Cowboys.[2]

Playing career
Early career
After being signed by the Cowboys, Tuala moved to Townsville, where he attended Kirwan State High School and played for the Townsville Stingers' Cyril Connell and Mal Meninga Cup sides. In 2014, Tuala represented the Queensland under-16 team.[3] In 2015, Tuala scored a hat trick in the Stingers' Mal Meninga Cup Grand Final victory and was selected for the Queensland under-18 team.[4] Later that year, he scored twice in Kirwan's ARL Schoolboy Cup final victory over Patrician Brothers' College, Blacktown.[5] In 2016, Tuala played for the Cowboys' NYC side, scoring 12 tries in 15 games. He was again selected for the Queensland under-18 side but was later ruled out through injury.[6][7][8]

2017
In early 2017, Tuala trained during the pre-season with the Cowboys' first grade squad.[9] He played in their first NRL trial against the Sydney Roosters, scoring a try in the 11-10 win.[10]

In May, Tuala played for the Junior Kangaroos against the Junior Kiwis,[11] before re-signing with the Cowboys on a 2-year contract until the end of 2019.[12] In round 24 of the 2017 NRL season, he made his NRL debut for the Cowboys against the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks.[13][14]

2018
In Round 13 of the 2018 NRL season against Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, Tuala scored his first NRL try in the Cowboys' 26-12 win at Brookvale Oval.[15]

On October 6, Tuala made his senior representative debut for the Prime Minister's XIII, coming off the bench and assisting a try in the side's 34–18 win over the PNG Prime Minister's XIII.[16][17] A week later, on 13 October, he scored a double in the Junior Kangaroos 40–24 win over the Junior Kiwis.[18]

Heard Wade on MMM last night talking about the Val situation, Anthony Maroon the caller was pretty forthright in his views and basically said that Val was a prick for leaving the way he did.

Wade said that he really hoped Val would do well in the states and that he can't be perseucted for following a dream.

But then he agreed that it could have been done better by Val or his manager and you got the feeling that deep down, Wade wasn't very happy with what he did and how he did it.

Either a winger or a big middle forward that can replace Williams who'll be starting next year in 13.

If we could somehow squeeze him in under the cap, you'd grab him and stick him on the wing.

I wasn't making a case to bring him back or anything. Just that in general I'd take Val over Moylan & Dugan at FB.
