People give us **** for taking the bottom of the barrel, but at least we get them before they go to the cowboys.

Tough break for him, if true.
However the reference to a "three-year NRL exile" not once, but twice, is totally wrong. I guess editors are surplus to requirement at the Herald Sun too.
Why the hell is it "a tough break" for Benny? He has been given opportunity after opportunity and stinks it up every time. The reality is that he has substance abuse issues and domestic violence issues. He allegedly becomes violent to women after a drink and this is not acceptable in today. He has immense natural rugby league talent and played a major part in Cronulla's success of 2016. However, he has no control off the field and he should be gone. End of story.

I think the Cowboys should get a massive pat on the back for how they handled this. He was there marquee signing and could have swept it under the carpet but unlike manly & walker acter quickly.

In the same article (if you can call it that) they say Ennis is sniffing around clubs for coaching staff gigs.

Is he still working with us at all?

I doubt Bomber would want Ennis on his staff after he publicly endorsed Hook for the coaching gig, citing The Sharks need a leader with experience.

Even though NRL hypocritical.
They would have demanded blood in this instance.

We've been pretty ****ing successful from top to bottom - what need do you see for a new perspective ?

Well we just lost our head coach. Who had a lot of experience with things. Bringing in someone to help bridge that knowledge gap we now have and offer a fresh perspective can't hurt. And yes we've been pretty successful but you need to constantly improve and adapt if you want to stay in the running. Look at the Roosters, they brought in Obrien after they won the comp. Though in fairness he would have agreed to join before they won it.

From what's the buzz:

CHICK IN SHARKS LIMBO
James Segeyaro’s hopes of remaining a Cronulla Shark will be determined by the NRL’s investigation into the club’s salary cap dealings. Cronulla faces a substantial fine and cap reduction for the next two seasons, similar to what the Manly Sea Eagles copped in recent times. Segeyaro is living in the Shire but is training on his own. New Sharks coach John Morris wants him on the roster but can’t do a deal until the cap issues have been sorted.

I don’t want Seggy. Besties with Normy, I’d like to put as much space between them and the club as possible.

If Seggy continues training in the local park, how many years will it be before it's considered stalking?

Can hardly blame him, we are the greatest club of all.
