It's not that desperate. We have Katoa and Feki ... plus Gray ... plus both Xerri and Capewell as legitimate options in the centres with one of the other blokes covering the wing. A depth winger would be a good pickup but we'd have a bit of a logjam at the Jets holding back some good young blokes from valuable game time. Xerri, Lumelume, Ferris, and Gray would be penciled in for Newtown already IMO, and if Rennie stays too they would already have too many.

That is a bit more re-assuring .
But I just wonder where the Sharks Back-line would score points if we lost Val and/or Moylan during the season ?

Take the two most potent backs out of most teams and it would be the same.

Those 33 games for Parra 25 years ago must make Flanno's heart yearn for a fairytale home coming. Surprised he didn't bail and replace Cleary since he played 42 games for Wests in 89-91.

the hacks just can't believe a coach is staying put at the sharks. TOO much stability for their liking. Flanno did the hard yards to get his squad and club where he wanted it, why leave now as he starts to reap the rewards on the field for the last few seasons to let someone else roll in and get the benefits of all his hard work, especially in those very tough early years - doubt he misses those.

Flanno could have bailed in some much tougher seasons at the Sharks and many other coaches would have but he stuck in and didn't wanna leave and he doesn't want to now either. loves the place and has been quoted saying something along the lines of wants to be here another 5-10 years at least to see the next gen come through. Unfinished business I say

Newcastle rumored to be offering Klemmer 4.6m over 4 years.

Yeah he's a good player but that's ridiculous.

That’s just desperation! Not worth anywhere near that. I agree he is a good player but he’s half the player Fifita is, whom we pay much less than that.
