We should be all over Corey Oates imo.
No way. Not the money he'd want and he wants to be a backrower anyway which we don't need. Handy player, don't get me wrong, but doesn't fit us.
Rumour is that he has given up being signed as a backrower. Sees himself as a winger now apparently.
If Val was to leave I'd pay Oates that on the wing. He provides 600k worth of value IMO. But if we keep Val on big money it would be too much in the backline.
If a quality centre is worth that a modern day winger is - that's where the points comeSo what a $5-600k winger? Pass.
Why has Soro of all people jumped Bukuya for Lewis spot? Seriously though, Boogie gets that 11, I feel like I’m taking crazy pills reading team sheets on here lately.
I reckon Boogie will take the 13 when Gal retires. Done a lot of middle work the last few years. Theres also Williams in the mix too

IMHO
Uele/Nikora are the most ready. In saying that Nikora needs another year with the Jets, maybe snag a few games next year through injuries. Uele I'm on the fence with, was having some great games for the Jets before getting injured.
Cruz is a while off.
Billy looks great in some games for the Jets, but goes missing other games. Will be ready before Cruz.
Thought id just ask in here. But how have some of the young juniors/new recruits come along this season and thoughts on future involvement? Some are getting into their 20's so there time is coming i assume?
These guys spring to mind, with Cruz being the one im most interested in.
- Briton Nikora / age: 20
- Cruz Topai-Aveai / age: 19
- Braden Uele / age: 23
- Billy Magoulias / age: 21
Are you only interested in these particular players? Tiger Shark summed it up pretty well. I'll add to that ...
- Injuries are a concern for Cruz. He missed a full season and has missed a bit this year too. Has been going well when healthy. Some reports call him a back rower but he is 100% a prop these days.
- Nikora is the highest rated by the club; he may not be NRL ready but he is a starting NSW Cup player at 20 and that is an achievement in itself.
- It's worth noting that those couple of really good games Uele had before getting injured he was playing back row. He doesn't really play like a typical front rower. He's capable of being a 20 minute bench prop in the NRL now, but has potential for more.
