Yeah - saw that - hard to gauge what that means though even if it is true. With match payments, bonuses etc. he may earn plenty more. I'd say the clincher for him was the second year.

I think you're right .
Probably feels he'd be worth 300K next year but wouldn't have secured a second year .
Unless he moved to UK .
