Wasn't it the theory that Moylan was replacing Maloney though?

It was only a thought re Townsend. I see him as an NRL quality half but not yet convinced that he can be the apex half in a top 4 team. Hope he has a blinder this year of course and puts all my doubts to rest.

Rightly or wrongly if we picked up Pearce I saw Flanno moving Chad to 6 and Moylan to 1.

I'm not sure of all this talk of Holmes being pissed off if he was pushed to the wing. Without knowing the guy he doesn't seem to be the moody or arrogant types these blokes can be.
Surely if you are a top class winger scoring 20 odd tries a season you are going to look better than a developing fullback who, according to some, can't pass and only scored around 4 or 5 tries in that position last year.

Has this world become so bad that men of advancing years and positions of power in the football club are scared of a 22 year old demanding he must play fullback or he'll walk.
It was said that Bird demanded the same but you could see he was that type of person and he's now gone.

I just don't think Val has got the arrogance and anger that Bird has.

Mate Val hangs out at Miranda Fair when he's not playing, laughing and sniggering at shop assistants.

He's as arrogant as they come.

Yes!

So seriously, do you think Val would be pissed off and ask for a release if Flanno moved him to the wing?

Not sure mate. If he's someone that wants to be involved more then yes, it's very possible.

If he's not overly bothered by that and is happy being paid 800k to play on the wing, then maybe not.

Exactly HB it's hard to say but so many on here think he's ready to walk the minute he's shifted to the wing.

speaking of Nu Brown, he was dropped from the full time training squad at the bulldogs due to being lazy and not training to the standard set by the dogs playing group.

Good way to make a first impression at a new club.

This was always the knock on him from those at training, didn't put in.

Strange attitude from a fringe first grader.

I'm with you mate, he would still be on fullback money. It would be easy to get him involved drifting infield as well like Blacklock used to do.

If he was told he was on the wing long term then I think he would walk but that's a different story to playing in your strongest position as it gives you a red hot crack at another premiership.
