He was also very consistent in the lower grades if I remember correctly. Sure, he might not be quite up to the level of Maloney but if he's kicking at 78-80% we haven't lost much there.

Chad is also a handing goal kicker. He would just need to put some extra practice in again to sharpen his kicking up to be a regular goal kicker.

I remember at one point in the NYC he had kicked something like 30 from 32 (94%) but then he has had bad patches too. I think he has the skill but mentally has a way to go.

yeah I recall a shocker he had in the NRL, might have been against Brisbane ?

Anyway the fact Holmes has kicked when Maloney is not instead of Chad suggests to me he's the next kicker in line if we don't recruit or bring in any others.

Val can also have some shockers.

I think a few hours a week practising will help both.
Either way, I think both these blokes could take over with a bit more focus on goal kicking during the off season.

Fifita is also a handy goal kicker isn't he?

In saying that, I'd still like to try to keep Maloney for next season.
I'm not 100% convinced on Moylan as our 5/8th just yet. Happy to be proven wrong.
