Moving on from the conversation above... I disagree that the majority of former Panthers players go well with us. Sure - you have Flash, Wade and Lewis, but other than Pomeroy you have also have Aiton, Wright, Latimore, Ross and Norrie. All in all I'd say it's a wash.

On the other hand, players going the other way have had plenty of success.

What about Riek and Stapleton? I thought Stapleton was pretty good for us?

Forgot about him. Yeah - Stapo the first was a good player! Rieck was ok. I reckon we've had 3-4 good players come over, 3-4 ok players, and 3-4 duds

I would take him over any of our forwards outside of Fifita, Gallen, Graham and Bukuya. Could also bring in sponsorship money!

Edit: That is factoring in Gallen and Lewis being here for a swansong of course. I mean more longer term, ie the next gen.

This was my point when it was raised. He isn't better than our current top 4 back rowers, there are very few minutes on offer for bench back rowers next year, and Capewell is at least as good a prospect. Why would Fitzgibbon come here to possibly be playing reggies?

If Lewis had retired - maybe - but we don't have a need for a back rower next year and we have some very highly rated young kids coming through after that.
