The main photo on his Wiki. Wonder if someone changed it having a laugh about the recent rumours or it's just never been changed

l'm just sitting here watching the wheels go round. Hope we don't pump up prices and get bit on the butt ourselves. Not a lot of money out there , except for the usual suspects. We need to hasten slowly

yuk I hope this doesn't eventuate. Lost Bird and now Ricky. Hope we have some centres coming our way

Theyre saying it will. On compassionate grounds. His wife wants to be closer to family.

Seems we are seeing more and more the wives having great influence

Suppose its fair in some ways. A support network would be important for young family. Still its no good for us!!

No problem at all with the reasons. But we have a player up and leaving us. What do we get in return? If hes already discussing a deal with the titans we should demand a release fee. Or a player trade.

Nrl contracts suck, they are supposed to protect both parties. But it seems if either party wants out, it will happen regardless.

Just when he started to come good he leaves. I'll be more upset about losing ricky than bird tbh

The fact he is on a small contract at the moment probably doesn't help

Yeah but i think in all cases both parties need to gain something. We had to fork out for seggy, as we should
but that's not how it works here though. Yeah you will see a player trade here and there but clubs never pay fees for Australia based situations like this.

We got our premiership winning halfback from the Warriors after he broke his contract. Didn't seem a problem then so we can't have a cry when the shoe is on the other foot.

These situations come down to the kindness (or roster/recruitment positions) of the clubs.

No one is obliged to give the other party a release. That shouldn't be forgotten.

Deals with other people aren't relevant. The only thing that matters is what suits us in this situation.

they aren't but how many clubs knock back a players request on 'homesickness' grounds? Wouldn't be many
