guess what…2016 is when our license runs out in the NRL. Re-registration will come down to alot of things.

Lowest members count most years and ****ty crowds……..not favourable.

Only way in this game to get members is to win ****. Every fan of this sport are bandwagoners. There is only a small few die hards that will be a member or fully support a club.

When Tinkler bought the Knights so many fans came out of the woodwork. I didnt realise there was so many Roosters fans on my facebook until last year…….oh Eels won their first game this year, out they came.

We cant win a game, we cant even deliver members packs to our members…….Sharks are drowning and its gunna take alot of effort from alot of people to pluck the club back. The development will not save us in the NRL
This is exactly what worries me, I consider myself a die hard fan and for the first time since I became a member i'm considering not showing up to next weeks game purely because I just couldn't be bothered (I will go, i'm just pissed off at the moment). So I expect non members will stay away in droves the way we're playing and we'll be lucky to crack 5000 this weekend. Not a good look when the nrl is itching to piss teams off out of Sydney and the development money is still a few years away.

The question is when is this asada stuff going to be finalised ? It's just pathetic now how long it's dragging on for. Put up or shut up asada you ****s.

To be honest, the longer it goes on, the less i see happening. Its just a **** fight. And if the media didnt ride the story so hard, it would really not have been as big as it is.

If the media didnt put us on the front page week in week out for the allegations. If they didnt say we killed Jon Mannah, if they didnt say we could have killed Ike Gordan would the NRL have given us a million buck fine? **** no.

Im a member, i bought myself, my missus and our kids memberships for the season. I was a member last year. Its my nans 80th in 3 weeks, im going to order her a SharkNet for that. I wont not support the Sharks. Look at Newcastle though, the Knights are the pride of the town, its like the Knights ARE Newcastle. There isnt that feel with Cronulla. The team is in 1 of the biggest booming areas in Sydney, its part of a whole section of the Sydney area. Not just 1 small area. The sutherland shire is a big place, the 8th biggest local government in the country in fact in terms of population. 200 odd thousand people…..7500 paying fans……and alot of those probably arent from the area like me.

There really is nothing working in our favour in regards to reasons to keep us in the comp.
No success of note
No supporters
No sponsors (terrible)
No game attendance
Bad public image

This post is sad but true. Like you mate I'm from outside the Shire, I have given the club my heart and sole since I was 7. The problem is where I live everyone wants to move into the Shire but when they go they still follow their team. The other issue is I have 3 very young kids who I am desperately trying to make Young Sharks. They have their grandparents and cousins in their ears about following the Dragons and Bulldogs. They're at the same age I started getting keen about footy and my old man started taking me to Sharks games. There is no way they will stay on the Sharks if what is happening continues.
The problem in 2014, is there is no pride in the jersey from the players. There are no locals in the side and as a kid that's something that always interested me, who was on their way up. I would've wanted to play for no one else other than the Sharks. Which juniors, Holden Cup players have we signed for next year? It's time either Holmes or Brown are considered for 1sts. How far away is that?

Next year i would imagine, don't think we can play them because of that 2nd tier cap thing which is dissapointing. maybe if gardz goes to the bulldogs mid season we can promote one to first squad? i think that's how it works.

Storm would be crazy to let him go, he plays down that right side so well for them, that Storm play they put on with him Slater & Cronk, he's as much part a success in that play as he's illustrious team mates.

If TripleM are remotely reliable, then it looks like we may have missed out on Grant.

Seems as though we're back to the days of having to pay overs in order to attract players. Why would anyone want to come here atm?

Don't have a choice apparently. Salary cap is finally biting then and Kevvy is asking for too much, like most players lately.

Exactly, we need to give up this fantasy of trying to attract stars to the club, because it isn't going to happen. Let's find fringe players and turn them into starters. It's what we are going to have to do people.

Can we target them in the 23-26 age bracket as well?

I said this weeks ago, we will not attract anyone, only struggle to not lose what we currently have. Even our untested junior talent are rumoured to want out.

Look, it sucks but it's not all bad. Our best 17 isn't completely terrible.

We really need to just get this ****ing ASADA thing done with somehow. It’s disgusting how long it’s taken and the public airing. Surely, there should be some kind of conclusion to it soon.

Once that is done with we might be a realistic chance of getting some sponsors. But they aren't even the be all and end all for us anyway.

We aren't broke and we do have a future with the development money etc.

I'd prefer it if we would just draw a line in the sand pick up a new coach and start again NOW. But even with Flanagan coming back it's still salvageable.

There are reasons for players to sign here. Particularly ones that just want a crack at first grade. Last year we were complaining because we lost Peachey due to our backrow being stacked so heavily. We will be freeing up a lot of money over the next few years so we can be that club that gives a go to the guy not getting a run elsewhere for similar reasons. It will just take a bit of foresight.

Heads up.

Liccha went for 350k so there is no reason why they should have ennis is what he reckons ... Liccha was not even guaranteed a stating position according to him

Personally I think they are crazy if they let Ennis go. He'd be a great partner for Lichaa in the halves and a very good player for Lichaa to learn off.
