Peachey extends till 2019 at the Panthers.

They're locking up that squad long term which surely means any good juniors will be open to offers at other clubs surely.

You can't just plonk players in the middle, especially as he's more of a wide running second rower. I'm not against him being in the middle but if Flanno gets him firing I expect him on the edge of a Maloney short ball is going to give teams massive headaches.

I like the fact he's not guaranteed to make the top 17 let alone the starting squad. Going to require a serious off season to get close to contention if are keeping both Heino and Taga.

Agree but he has size (which still doesn't make it a given)

I was more so coming from the angle to keep him involved, get use out of him, there is nothing stoping him from taking hit ups or off the second pass, defensively he can handle it, is the stamina that could possibly stop him but I don't think Flano will play him longish minutes anyway.

I like the T. rex signing. Another unwanted former star for the second chance sharks. We did well injury wise this year, but with Gal/Lewis/Taga all looking a little injury prone and Heino 1 year older, T. rex will get his chance. I'm thinking right edge Lewis bakup with Bukuya playing in the middle next year.

Yeah I don't know about that. I think you need to perform for more than five minutes to be considered a star. Perennial under achiever.

I must have a short memory. I remember him dominating but not for a very long period.

It was brief yes. But he played origin only 2 years ago, so he only has to get close to that form to be a good buy.

The bulk of that bulldogs squad are apparently lacking motivation under cranky pants Hasler and his outdated gameplans - a new environment and coaching staff could work wonders for Tony

He played lots of middle forward at Manly. Also for NSW. As I've mentioned previously, imagine home playing the same role Tupou did in his last couple of seasons with us. He's got great ball skills - he won a Qld Cup as a 5/8 - and he's a monster. Give him a clearly defined role on limited minutes.

This is a classic case of buying low with a huge potential payoff. It's an excellent signing.

I think the Dogs offer was only around 100k so I presume it's more than that, anything else I'd be speculating.

Mate you should be a player agent, i reckon you'd be able to sell jeff robson to real madrid for 50 million :)
