I was in the ticket lines with some mates who aren't members (they're moving overseas in a month) on Saturday. They couldn't believe it was $35 for a ticket to the footy - said it was only $30 in round one, and much much cheaper in previous years.

In fact waiting in that line all I could hear was people complaining about the price. "You've got to be ****ing kidding", "You must be joking" and "What a bloody rip off" was rife. It's just too expensive, and many people said they wouldn't be back with prices that high.

for $56 a month they could buy Foxtel and watch every game, most live - whats better value you reckon?

Was GA $35?
For the Dragons game on Saturday yes it was because that's what I paid. The Online discount for $30 is a farce cause you then pay more in the booking fees ect so I avoid it and saved some printer ink as well lol

Typically GA entry is between $25-$30 and sometimes they do 2 for 1 deals. Not sure if they just jacked the price up for the local derby or $35 at the ground is the fixed price for Season 2014...
Mind you that $35 also got you access to a NSW Cup game played before NYC on Sat. You rarely get a NSW cup game as part of the deal.

If anything a $35 GA ticket makes membership packs look like better value such as a Flexi 5 or 12 game membership. Maybe they are trying to push more fans to membership with higher GA pricing but I don't think they are that smart so it's probably just a money grab. Gotta pay Flannos bills and **** yall

League has definitely lost some of its magic it had when I was a kid watching in the 80's and a teenager in the 90's.

If the Sharks died tomorrow I wouldn't watch it any more.
Same here. That's the problem with the relocation idea. If the NRL relocate a team they lose some fans permanently. I couldn't follow a relocated sharks or any other team.

I'd switch to union and follow the Tahs.

If the NRL allow/let us fold they're a disgrace.

Yeah I just couldn't follow the Sharks if they went interstate. I'll join my missus in getting a Swans Membership.
Would join you mate. Absolutely no way I'd follow another NRL team or encourage my three kids to. As for Rugby, that game has loads of potential but is stifled by referees, I liked it as a kid but hate it now.

Unfortunately I don't think the NRL would care about losing us to the game. Their theory is that the die hard supporters would go down swinging, but as soon as the next generation came along they would be brought up at Dragons supporters or South Sydney fans. It's a short term loss, long term gain in their eyes.

I'd still love them if they moved but I would be disappointed.

Relocation would be much better than folding or merging.

nowhere i think it just sprang up.
Yeah it did, however the guy who oversaw the mergers in the AFL and the playing of all Melbourne games at 2 grounds now works for the NRL, so there is every chance it'll be on the agenda again soon.

Club have been told they need to prove their long term sustainability and corporate governance by end of 2015 season.
