Its rubbish Parra get a sniff this year. While I don't believe they'll do much damage it just seems a bit easy to clear Watmough's inflated ****up of a deal and lose one bloke and they'll be back on the market next year. They signed the likes of Foran and Jennings while over - that is rubbish.

Well by the sounds of it, it was between him and Norman. Tough choice.

It'll hurt Parra for sure, but De Gois and Pritchard are an ok combo, plus they've got a wildcard on their books in Cameron King, if he gets over his injury dramas he could be a pretty good option to have there. Of course those guys aren't on the same level as Peats but it's not like they're going to have nuffies at hooker.

They should take back Robbo and play him at 9.

 Just saw the replay, Whitehead's hands are so good for a dude that made like 50 tackles. Any other pommies like that, you know, that want to live on the beach and are willing to sign cut-price? :good:

The jennings signing is the most concerning as it was so late in the piece

Yep and Scott. Different rules for a club with a big fan base.

I don't think parra will make the 8, but then I noticed dragons wriggled their way in last night so who knows, the closer they get the more the teams 7-10

Tamau, grevsmuhl, merrin, cartwright, campbell-gillard etc. throw in mansour if he stays, moylan, hiku, dwz, whare, peachey......look at penriths roster moving forward. Premiership

How much salary cap do they have? Are they using Parramatta's board members to get all these merkins?

There are 6 Internationals just in that list.

Considering they already have 28 players contracted and a team option on another for 2017 (according to zero tackle at least) it's puzzling how they are going to fit them all in.

Does Gus have Uncle Nick on board out west as well?

"THE Broncos’ hopes of retaining Matt Gillett have soared after Cronulla yesterday withdrew a $1 million-plus offer to the off-contract Maroons ace.

Gillett is seeking around $700,000 a season and the Titans and Sharks had lodged expressions of interest with the Broncos forward’s manager Isaac Moses.

But the Sharks are officially out of the race, with the club’s offer of around $500,000 shy of the amount Gillett would required to shift his young family to Sydney.

The Broncos aren’t getting cocky yet but Gillett has told coach Wayne Bennett he wants to stay and he will choose the grand finalists over the struggling Titans."

I thought he might milk us and the Titans for another few weeks, I don't mind a good offer with a deadline, wonder what our plan B will be.

Fair call from the sharks not getting into a war for a second rower. Quality player but 700 would make him one of our most expensive players.

like how Lewis is for this season

im all for any quality player chasing their worth, but i think the fact we've got some high price guys in our 1-7 now shows the importance there. Flannos never had a problem getting forwards to the club, or getting forwards to step up their game, so if we can get a few quality guys in there, like the sims boys or something, i have no doubt flanno can get worth out of them. Its that 1-7 thats important for us in terms of where we spend, and while Barbas on small money from us this year, he steps up next year and thats where we need to keep our cap space aimed at. Re-signing the likes of Val, Bird and even Barba beyond next year

That's very professional , shows we are serious but not a bargaining chip.
maybe the club has some inside news?

and it also shows we wont waste our own time either. We could play ball with Broncos all year for Gilletts signature, and miss out on how many blokes in the mean time? You gotta draw a line in the sand as to when you go, enoughs enough, we know you arent coming

WOnder how many free feeds we have supplied at king wan's over the years?

It's like taking a girl home to meet your parents. They start thinking that this might be the one and begin to sense feelings of attachment.

Then you dump her the next week without explanation.
