apparently will smith from the pennies has no contract yet for next year......as reported on fox. He is handy enough but don't know where we could fit him

Seriously, we should be all over him.

Depth, can play halves, fullback, could probably fill in a hooker role if we were desperate. I have a feeling Barba only plays 1 more year with us

I'll get smashed for this , but I reckon he would have more to offer us than Benny .

About 800k more in the pocket over two years, but on the field if barba finds that spark he's more of an asset.

I don't think we need him, but I'd rather sign him than Robbo...

Some of the spuds over at LU (or as the learned scholar and executor of flawless grammar Egg calls it, the "other forum .") are debating over the rumour that Carney is pushing for wrongful dismissal. They seem to be under some illusion (some of them) that he might be reinstated, and the cap problems that would cause us (some, like Egg's idol and object of masturbatory obsession the "gun poster" are even for him pairing with Maloney, despite the obvious cancer it would be from a defensive standpoint).

What they don't realise is that when you go into mediation over a wrongful dismissal of an employee on such a large salary the standard practice is to compensate the former employee financially. As in, the former employee basically never goes back to the same place to work. So anyway, thought I'd put that in here because I don't want to be arsed signing up to a forum that hosts a bunch of sharkies facebook garden gnomes. The end.

LOL

But back in reality, the panthers blokes seem pretty confident that they will sign him.

I hope he does end up at another employer. He's done physically and he's a PR/sponsorship nightmare waiting to happen, both because of his fondness for the piss (grog too lol).

I'm sure some will be nostalgic and remember him at his best and think of him pairing with Maloney & Ennis and firing balls to our best backline in 10yrs but he's done to a point that his contribution on the field no longer outweights what a ****wit he is likely to be off it. We finally got sponsors lining up, if you're in favour of changing that then sign him up.

Yeah I really liked Carney, he deserves to be in the NRL. Will be weird seeing him in a different strip but what's done is done, Maloney is the future for at least 2 years

We will have the bloke that replaced him for NSW without any of the injuries or baggage. So it's all sweet now for me, like I couldn't really care less if Carney ends up back in Australia playing for someone else.
