Yeah I think the dogs signaled their plans for his future by interchanging Hodko & Reynolds on the weekend

Yeah pretty sure BWB is right. And other clubs can't negotiate with him until after 1 November this year, pretty sure the Dogs will have extended him by then.
All good....ennis just said off contract when talking him up......I wonder if the dogs have got enough in their cap to keep him though.
We have all seen what sort of money a good half can get in todays climate

They'll probably let Hodko go so shouldn't be too much of a problem for them. He looks good but certainly not on par with the game's best halves at this stage.

Hearing we will pick up either Maloney or Hastings.

Maloney seems more likely but his manager has been moving the goal posts around lately.

I would rather we take a punt on the youth

Maloney would be perfect for the next 2-3 years .
We have some potentially good young halves coming through , that arn't ready yet .
I'd be stoked

Yeah agree. If we didn't have Tracey I'd be leaning more towards Hastings. I hope Tracey is as good as the wraps.

Correct, but think their cap will be tight now re-signing DCE plus adding Myles and supposedly Lussick. I believe Maloney also lives in the shire? I reckon offer him $350 to $400k we'd be getting him and chad for the price of DCE

Edit: less than the price of DCE

Agree with this..

We should also offer Inglis $200K and tempt Hayne back with an offer of $250K.. what is Flanno thinking?!?!?!

Maloney, in the new cap and with how much halfbacks are asking these days, easily a 600k + player. Especially with one last decent contract left in the nrl in his career.

Still though, Maloney on 750k, chad on 350k-400k. Thats about a DCE contract right there..... :glasses-cool:

No way of knowing at this point. But we have a few other halves coming through too given the Ball and Mattys success.

The Club needs to build a pipeline of talent so we're never reliant on one kid or one signing.

Let there never be another Robbo that plays in the halves for us. Never, ever, ever.
