Elgey looks as though he will be a gun, can't see the Tits losing him unfortunately.
What ongoing role will he play with sezer gone and DCE taking the reigns at half? Will he slot in at 5/8 long term I wonder or is there someone ahead of him who will keep him in the lower grades?

I think they have a very high opinion of him so I think he's in first grade for good now.

Sandow would leave Parra for the same reasons he left Souths - money (If i recall correctly...)

If the Sharks players around him could keep playing how they are now he would be a massive asset in our team. If the Sharks players went back to their old ways (touch wood) Sandow would make far less impact and would be a mountain of pressure on him to make things happen

I think his flair and ah-hoc ability would really balance out our more straight forward players and style while complimenting the exuberance of players like Bird & Holmes and that's not even factoring in his good kicking game

Smith, Cronk, Slater ect are queenslanders and play in a state more southern than NSW. It would be a factor for Elgey but plenty of players have left QLD at a young age for clubs outside of QLD
Will come down to money and opportunities and weighing up the pros/cons

Playing next to DCE would be massive incentive for him to stay put though

No to Mbye for mine. Yes he's a decent player but where would we play him? He's not a half back and I like to think we have 5/8 covered with either Bird or Barba. Not sure Barba will stay on the bench forever.

Mbye has played pretty well as a left-side half which is what we need. Can he run a team? Probably not. Very handy player though.

Funnily enough I think he was one of the guys in Lichaa's ear getting him across.

He is handy but I get the feeling we'd be buying a player for the sake of it. He isn't what we need imo.

LOTE Tuqiri has weighed in on speculation linking Tim Simona with a move away from the Wests Tigers, suggesting a rift inside the club could be to blame.

Speaking on Fox Sports News on Friday afternoon, Tuqiri, a former Tigers teammate of Simona, said he was surprised a young talent like the 23-year-old centre would be shopped around by his club.

“If that’s true, it must be things going on off the field inside the club,” Tuqiri said.

“Maybe he’s not getting on with the coach. I don’t want to start rumours because I don’t know anything but that’s generally the case if clubs are shopping you around.

“I don’t think he’s on a crazy amount of money either.”

The rumour mill has gone into overdrive in recent weeks linking Simona with a possible move to the Sharks or the Raiders.
