So a year ago he's as heavy as a truck and they need to move heaven and earth to get him there. Then he finally gets in shape, they finally start winning consistently and all of a sudden they decide that he's fowling up their salary cap and they need to get rid of him asap. Hmmm ok.

I wonder if Flanno's wish is for Townsend @ 7 , Kelly @ 6 , with Bird moving into the famous Cronulla # 3 jersey ?

Personally , I have reservations about a return for Albert , however would welcome Chad back.

Back to the future with 7 Townsend 6 Kelly!! The number of threads here that rambled about the bright future we had with those two in the driving seat.

Did you see when he scored the try, dont know if I read it right but it looke like he was signalling money signals rubbing his thumbs & fingers together.

Think that was a reference to an NFL player Johnny Manziel, who chad is a massive fan of. He uses the same celebration.

id pass on benji

he didn't want to come here when we were the first club in for him, the **** can stay at the dragons

Agree. We don't need blokes who have been asked and refused. Bit sad we would even think about it.

I know that ideally we could use a good half, but i think that murphy would play fairly well in the 7 with a bit of time and would be a good pair with bird, we also have nu brown who could play there.

I think Barba may end up being a bit of a dud signing. if we didn't buy a half i would probably look at murphy 7, bird 6 with brown suppling impact from the bench. (Barba could also play this role realistically)

Bunji is way past his best, good for him finding some form, but a few steps and nice cut out balls don't change the fact he is not the same player he once was. Wouldn't say no to him in light of what we have got but wouldn't be chasing him either

Ideally we need an up and comer yet to peak or a proven performer with more than just a few good years still left in them.
