Better than Kyle Stanley

Low bar.

Take out the massive physical and mental toll and time spent out of the game due to knee injury after knee injury I reckon Stanley would be a bloody good centre by now who could fill a hole at 5/8, or possibly a bloody good fullback. But the kids managed an average of 9 games a season since debuting in 2010. He needs a season on the paddock - in any grade would be good. He keeps coming back and is 'only' 24 but you'd think if he comes back at 25 and goes down with another long-term injury it could be curtains for his NRL career. Love him to cash in on his potential and the patience shown to him in Rugby League with us.

McCrone is disaster waiting to happen in the halves. On his best day he's serviceable for a stint at dummy-half. It seems every minute he plays he gets progressively worse until something gives and he comes up with a clanger at the worst point of the match. Extend those periods of stable play and manage his time on the field well (knowing when to give him a breather before the clanger happens) and he could be useful somewhere. I do reckon a change of environment would help him, but not us. A Melbourne, Manly sorta Club maybe.

Master stroke by Ricky. What if he actually turns Raiders into a top 8 team? I think that would be the end of a few people on this forum!
Took us to the top 8 and our team still hasnt fully recovered from his legacy. Not worth it.

If we go for McCrone over Cornish or Williams, I'll be fuming.

He's the exact type of player we should not be going for.

Haven't seen a lot of Cornish, how to people on here rate him compared to the Chad of Townsend?

I've got a hunch (with no basis whatsoever) that we'll end up with Maloney.

Maloney's asking too much / more than what the Sharks are willing to spend on him

LOL at the mention of McCrone, he's literally Robson except he can't tackle.:No::No:

Massively turned off by Maloney after his game on the weekend. I don't usually judge a player on one game, but jeez he was ordinary. Imagine throwing him in to our structure like that...

Players do have their ups and downs of course, but he looked like someone who already plays for us on the weekend.

Harsh wrapped he played siiht on Sunday, prior to that he has been great in my opinion... Starting to get real nervous now the hate on my man sir robbo is going to escalate as the pool of halfbacks next season gets more and more shallow, he could we'll be the victim of abuse because of the club not being able to secure a upgrade with a fistful of cash...

if we win some more games and throw overs, I'm sure we can secure someone of note

overs is ok providing we stop investing so much coin into our backrow moving forward
