if this is true, this is shattering for the Rooters! I know this MItchell kid is good but RTS is an unbelievable talent to lose!

I know latrell is untested and is only 18, but have seen him? Both how he plays and the size of him.

Had to laugh at this post on the chookpen.

As sad a day as it is losing one of our young stars, it is ultimately going to happen. So surprised that uncle nick lost a guy he wanted to keep.

I think that although it seems a good decision now, Roger has inevitably made a bad decision by switching to NZ. Being coached by robbo should have been incentive enough to stay and in the long run would have been beneficial to him from a financial standpoint. The warriors are not a gun team as mentioned before and although he has plenty of potential, I wouldn't quite put him in the class of Slater, Inglis, or a mini in his prime. He has deficiencies in his game like any other player.

Young people do not make wise long-term decisons, its a matter of fact and sooner or later Roger will see that it would have been better for him to have stayed under robbo for a few more years rather than take the money and run for the hills.

Rumour is that cronulla and manly are favourites to sign Albert Kelly for next season. Not really keen to be honest.

I really want carney back at 7 though for us with Barba at 6. Bird at centre. Holmes at fullback.

1. Holmes
2. Feki
3. Beale
4. Bird
5. Gagan
6. Barba
7. Carney
9. Ennis

That would be lethal!

Coach: Shane Flanagon

Not so lethal now

That's what I meant by paying up, way above market. We have the cap space.

Yeah but what's market value for these players these days? Especially halfbacks, we'd have to be paying ridiculous money. That's if money is their primary motivation, didn't Hodgkinson knock back a ridiculous offer from us earlier in the year purely because he simply doesn't want to play here?

If we need to pay stupid money for a half back then so be it. We don't really have a choice, it's the one missing piece of the puzzle as far as the playing roster is concerned.

I don't know if Hodko knocked us back or not but there are other guys out there. Surely one will bite if we offer 15-25% more than the highest bid.
