The chooks always have plenty of dosh and always have room under the salary cap. Maybe we should get their accountant

If Maloney is seriously being shopped around then we should be in there. Low hanging fruit with a degree of quality in a position where we suck. Just sitting there ready to be picked off.

I'm kinda surprised they'd be willing to let Maloney go to be honest. Hastings is unproven whereas Maloney helped them get a premiership, yeah? I'd take him but I can see it panning out that we get Jimmy while they get Carney again. Stings but at least we'd have a decent half.

They're going to have a lot of pressure on their cap in the next year or two. Quite a few of their players signed a couple of years ago and will demand more money for their next contract, so I can believe they're shopping Maloney around.

They won a comp only a couple of years ago and look likely to be at the pointy end this year so if they need to wait a couple more again for Hastings to develop they will. They are not as success starved as us so they can afford to keep looking long term.
