Would love to see fifita in a union backrow, but obviously he will speak to every option before re signing with us.

Agreed.

I reckon he'd go great in Union. Love to see him in an actual scrum... you know, the ones where the players are allowed to push. Love to see contested scrums in League.
At risk of sounding like a heretic, I agree. I miss the days of the scrum being a contest (I'm glad I'm not the only one left).

How do we keep him? That is the question. DUI is stirring, but we have a huge problem keeping him in the game, let alone our club, and it hasn't got anything to do with ASADA. He is just plain hot property. What we can do, is bump him up from 370k now to 770k for the rest of the year, as an act of good faith, and in the knowledge that we are forward loading his next contract by two hundred thousand per year for the next two years. It is the only way I can see keeping the big offers at bay from crap clubs like the Titans, which will undoubtedly try pinching him by paying overs.

I'm not advocating begging, just paying him what he is worth on the current open market in an effort to legally circumvent the salary cap.

Would be sad to see him go. Having said that we were all sad when Douglas and Snowden left.

There is always someone else coming through.

Andrew will most definitely get an upgrade; we had him at a steal this year considering he was subsidised by the tigers. I'm guessing somewhere around 450K.

I actually think he likes running and offloading too much to go to union, at least not now.
Surely we will just give him the bucks we're currently paying Gal when he retires end 2015 to take up boxing?

What burns me about this article is that the story is saying Fifita is brushing the rumours aside then in the next breath it is saying that the news comes at a dreadful time for the Sharks. WTF? So there are direct quotes from AF about not going to union but the writer is completely ignoring this and says it's bad news for the Sharks? That's a ridiculous thing to say. The article totally contradicts itself.

Andrew struggled in the UK being away from family. Had to cancel honeymoon remember. I can't see him signing up to travel all over the world at short notice as a RU player.
