Was unlucky with one penalty, but you can see how the big guys get carved up by the quick, agile types. Can't see much game time for Andrew from here on in

Andrew's always been the same. Match fitness is what works for him. He's had major delays this year due to JMo, injuries and suspension.

With regular first grade game time he can get back to at least 80%, which is still upper half in the comp.

You think he is physically capable of getting back into upper half of props in the league?
No way

Also it’s not on Bomber whatsoever that he isn’t fit. He got himself fat and had to spend pre season shaking that off and had ample chance to gain fitness in cup if he had got himself suspended. It’s all on him.

Yes I do. And no, he lost most of the weight before this preseason. He cultivated mass the season before.

He lost some of the weight before preseason (mostly water by the sounds of things) and the rest during. He stacked it on in offseason because he was undisciplined, like always.
He would be way fitter now if he hadn’t stacked all that fat on and it’s entirely his fault

I reckon he was way bigger on the field last season than he was for preseason. Last season he was playing like an elephant seal.

BORT , Auditioning for a Specsavers commercial it seems.
Andrew was HUGE last season , did that to help our team that year to add some grunt as we went into it lacking size.
Valandy's changed to rules (6 again etc)
Adapted . worked his arse off pre season for the new 2021 game , but is still NOT match fit ( Morris ? )
Let him grow his minutes from the bench
I'm sure if by some miracle we're down by 4 in a finals match with 10 minutes remaining
Bring him on
His heart will do the rest
Wish everyone would clam up and give this LEGEND some RESPECT and time to let his footy speak for itself WHEN he's at his peak this year.
AND not write him off after 3 games or whatever this year

I wish he still played as well as you think he does EGG

A lot of what you’ve written is a very interesting interpretation of the circumstances, I definitely agree though that the rule changes did **** him a bit, especially given already deteriorating due to knee issues.

I’ll repeat myself for you, because I did just say it, Fifita is a long time NRL player and had a full NRL preseason and games of Cup, can’t blame Morris for him not being fit. It’s 100% his own doing.

He is a sharks legend, and has my respect, but not the player he used to be and almost certainly won’t be again. I’d be more accepting if the role he can still have in our team if he was paid befitting that and no paid to be the best prop in the league (yes he earned that contract, no he isn’t currently worth it)

He improves exponentially through game time. Always has.

His knees aren't what they were but if we want some kind of return out of the rest of his contract then we need to back him. He'll give us at least 350k out of the 800 or whatever we're paying.

All Good Bort,
Agree he's never going to be 2016 Andrew Fifita
Is he worth 800K ( that figure debateable as he has taken cuts in the past to keep a strong team around him ) NO he's not worth 800K on playing value
BUT , he's more . His presence in the 17 shouldn't be underestimated.
He played well in all All Stars and Morris exiled him ( clashes ? )
Here we are now half way thru the season , let him gather some momentum
THEN judge his worth to our team

I have no doubt he is the one that motivates the rest of the boys the most. Keep him apart of the squad and get him better with game time

I think its not a bad shout to utilise him this way as our 17th player maybe swapping a few games week to week.

However, if you can shift his 800k contract you do it in a heart beat.
