What about the 3 Sharks players in the junior Samoan team... or Jackson Ferris in the NZ team? No news about those kids but we got a story about Brailey and Flanagan in the Aussie team. I don't think there is anything malicious going on with the harks media team - the coverage has been a lot better this season than previously but there are still some gaps IMO.

Love the passion of the bloke, but seriously-what a plonker.

When the team lists get announced last week-the only two sharks in action were Val and Woodsy. Why say anything about Tonga and Fifita? Tonga weren't playing?

This week the teams are announced and quite rightly the Sharks post a picture of all Sharks in action this week. I have no doubt they would have done the same regardless of Andrew's little whinge.

Now everyone is saying the Sharks have 'given in to the pressure', when really they are just doing what they've done for pretty much every international/rep game for the last 4-5 years.

Not sure what else Andrew expects from the Sharks, or why he'd even drag the club into it.

Moron.

Yeah, I dunno about that. Segeyaro was named in the PNG team to play Australia in the PM XIII and yet only the Australian players got the Instagram post. Seggy got a post with Matt Prior after the game, not before. Maybe Andrew is right and the club does give more respect and acknowledgment to the Australian rep players.

Everyone gives more respect to the Australian rep players.
For one Cronulla is an Australian club so there could be some bias there, but even Andrew acknowledges it is because Tonga and PNG are tier 2 nations and that he want's to help build Tonga up to match the big 3 so they are worthy of the same recognition.

Spot on. I see Fifita as a pioneer. His comments have provoked the perfect storm which is only going to help the international scene. If nothing else, this whole fiasco is only going to motivate him and the Togan side and provide us with one hell of a game.

The retirement of all these immortals is actually going to help the international scene so much, in a sense that there is actually going to be competition across the board, not just everyone else hoping Australia had a bad game

colour me shocked, but i am siding with fifita here

he is our best player but also a player who needs a bit of tlc

the fact that he has been our best player for about 5 years, won us a ****ing grand final, to not show the courtesy to acknowledge the fact he has taken a harder path in the international game is shocking

then they come out with a poor photo shopped effort, if i were fifita i would be calling out the club as well

And you base this on what?

Is it because he signs a new deal without shopping himself around because he appreciates what the Sharks have done for him?
Is it because he plays a season with a buggered knee they needs surgery to help the team?
Is it because he forgoes the cash and a World Cup win to play for Tonga and renew interest in the international game?
Is it because he stands by a mate when others wouldn’t?

I know, it’s because he called Rothfield a “c”, even though everyone knows he is on.

Personally, I hope the Sharks sign more players of his poor character in the future....

Whose running this joint and why don't they want a successful footy side?

If this and Flanno's budget being cut is true I'll take a break until football becomes a priority again.
