tbf if fifita kicked up a stink about not starting and convinced loz to change his mind he really needed to put in a good performance to justify himself and he didn't
it's great he puts his hand up to take responsibility of being the main man (maybe just an ego thing) but you gotta back it up and deliver

but seriously whatever happened to the respect of just doing what your coach has asked for the good of the team, nowadays all the players need to have their input by committee or just flat out have a one on one dummy spit to get their way.
media beat up, yea it is but it doesn't remove the poor reflection on Andrew & possibly Loz for that matter without knowing all the details

Has that ever been a thing though? I reckon you could find examples since 1908 where players have had a blow-up about a coach's instructions.

If this did happen, it all depends on what was said and how it was said to determine if it was disrepectful or not.

yea mate agree, I was generalising a tad there and talking in ideals but on the flip side you would have the players who are much more compliant or diplomatic about it

It is a media beat up by Paul "Fifita Hater" Kent. Kent is just a holier than thou wanker.

On NRL 360 Lewis defended Fifita and said he and Gallen spoke to Fifita and he said to them that there was no such conversation with Daley.
I heard this morning that Daley rang Fifita yesterday to apologise for the blow up, because he changed his mind about the change before he spoke to Fifita.

My question is about Klemmer. Why did he tell the media about the conversation he was to start?

There's a couple of possibilities:

(a) Klemmer answered honestly without realising Fifita had never been told, or;
(b) Klemmer's not really all that clever.

Hardly earth shattering stuff is it?

Do you know where this was reported? This is a great laugh if true.

the way he carried on on NRL 360 the wanker should apologize to fifita, he is an embarrassment and so is rothfield

I really hope Fox steps up with some proper presenters some time soon

Won't do anything. Initial headlines are all that matters. Fifita will be tarnished for this. Just add it to the list of half-truths and fables.

The ABC is so underfunded that even they were repeating the Fifita and Dugan/Fergo stories as if they were true.

News reporting has gone to hell. They all just repeat each other's gossip.

The press couldnt get enough of Andrew after game 1. In fact i was worried about the hype they were putting on him, and to be honest, he deserved all the wraps he got.

But then the series is lost, the media want the scape goats. They dont wanna point at Pearce, they dont wanna point at Hayne, thats been done to death. They can make a story out of andrew knowing hes had a history of losing his cool. Easy target if you ask me.

If its true that Andrew/Daley didnt even have a convo about this going to the bench thing, the story is a joke, and whoever made it up needs to tattoo F.A.F on his forearm forever
