I've heard second hand he's very comfortable. He's been working in wellbeing roles and has apparently made it clear he's not in it for the money because he doesn't need to be.

To be fair this is a high profile example, with the purpose of making a point. What about someone on minimum wage for a couple years and then moves on as he doesn't get a contract? What about their medical expenses?

I was only making the comment due to the question raised about Andrews circumstances.

Not at all a comment in opposition to ex players having a medical fund.

They are less likely to stack up as much damage as he did (though certainly not impossible).
If they retire they have a year (I've agreed it should be longer) and NRL will sort it for them.
