John Grant said Andrew needs to behave like an adult to earn an Australian jersey.

The same day that Blake Ferguson and Josh Dugan are named in that same jersey.

Thanks John, we are all very clear on that.

It doesn't take a long time to read the article, which said that the players you mentioned were great redemption stories, and that there was a future where Fifita could play for Australia... if he started acting like an adult.

Seems pretty good, positive advice to me.

Because Fifita, for all his amazing talent as a footballer, does have a habit of coming across as a whiny little bitch

**** off - he's streets ahead of Dugan & Ferguson for starters, and way ahead of many NRL ****wits.

Stop getting sucked in by media BS and use your brain.

It's Fifita's own actions and words I'm referring to.

Let's face it, he doesn't have a good grasp of the professional world he lives in. It's like getting upset that you haven't received a promotion when you ignore (or don't bother to check) the workplace policies and company values... then tell everyone the company has a personal issue with you and you'll just go work somewhere else. Pretty immature.

Not sure about personal, but it sure is targeted. You've ignored my point about how far worse NRL players (eg: Ferguson) get a free pass.

I think Fifita has a better sense of reason than a sanctimonious, smug dude like you will ever have tbh. I know I do.

I thought that up until the Fox interview, all of his 'words' had been merely fraudulent speculation by attention-hungry hack journos.

Did everyone notice that the Perth Glory coach is serving a suspension for coming onto the field and abusing all of the match officials. He did not miss any of them and all this took place live of Fox sports.

His suspension ?

He had to coach from the grandstand instead of the side line for 2 weeks.

Lucky his name is not Andrew Fifita.

Different sport mate. Watch how players get in the face of refs, it's pretty ordinary at times.

Sounds like you've fully bought into Fafita's rhetoric tbh. Which means you've chosen a position based only on media reports... unless you know the people in question personally?

Using words like sanctimonious make you sound pompous, and calling me smug, ignorant... actually, you'd be better writing these 'journalistic' articles rather than commentator on them.Missed you're calling mate.

Now that David has accepted a contract to stay in England, hopefully Andrew works hard over the off season and comes out firing next year for our back to back premiership run.

He'll be fine mate. Had a cracking year this season and I have no doubt he'll back it up next year. Flanno sticking by him will only help him.

or andrew could join him?

The dream.... Andrew and David spend the year becoming the consumate professional footballers. Polished on and off the field. Then, come 2018, when we've inevitably lost a few players, they reunite in Sharks colours to take us to premiership number 3....

Possibly. But the interview showed pretty clearly that he doesn't have the skills to handle the media, regardless of your position on his morals or attitude. Is that his failure? The clubs? How do you make a brilliant footballer a professional sportsman for today, and help boost his career?

Didnt say you were those things, I don't know you outside of a footy forum... sure food sounds that way though... but the perception you create is reality these days I guess.

Thanks for helping bring things back on topic with such an apt example.

But Sparkles, your arguments seem to imply that he's always shooting his mouth off and talking to the media. Which he is not.

Yes, well he's had a lot of words put in to his mouth by the media.

He's basically said nothing and anything that he has actually said regarding the matter has been pretty reasonable.
