I said before the game that it wouldn't matter if he was best on the ground they wouldn't give him the Clive Churchill and IMO he was the best even if he wasn't out there for a full 80
Happy for Lewis though who had a very good game and made my 3-2-1

I have watched the replay of his try about 10 times and still don't know how he got through all those tacklers and planted the ball down. Incredible effort. I don't think I even relised we had scored straight away, mothy gave me a bit of a nudge and we watched the replays on the big screen then rapture!

I used to like Friend but he's been very average this year from what I've seen. Not sure if they want an 80 minute hooker but Granville or Peats. You can laugh but even Wallace had a better year than Friend.

Might be good motivation for him to be a bit more sensible in his on & off field - doesn't mean I agree with the BS media trial against him but it's just a reality of being in the spotlight as a professional league player

I know this debate has been had before but what has he actually done?

From memory he only accepted his suspension last year without a challenge because he wanted to be back in time for the finals anyway.

What he's guilty of is being a suitable candidate to be bullied by a modern media bereft of moral understanding or application.

the thing is he has openly admitted it was in support of a mate going through a tough time and he does NOT support what his mate had done.

It was Todd Greenberg who prevented Fifita being Clive Churchill medallist, and it was Todd Greenberg who stopped Andrew Fifita and Semi Radrada playing for Australia. The NRL are judge & jury and no correspondence will be entered into.

But no worries hey, the NRL are the moral police, and that's why they take money from VB & Sportsbet to sponsor the game....

It would probably still be the Winfield Cup if it wasn't for Government legislation.

i think it was right as it gives fifita a chance to just sit back, unwind and let this be motivation for next year

just find it funny that consorting with criminals gets you evicted from the team, but being a registered sex offender gets you in the team

The only benefit I can see out of this is that those media tossers will see that they have achieved a small victory and perhaps start targeting someone else.

They will proclaim that he has received his punishment and then probably start working on 'bad boy come good' stories for next season.
