I think most of those clubs would have made a statement defending their players. Rather than letting them be lynched by an unfair press.

My opinion is a bit of a hangover from the original referee debacle - amongst other moments involving other players

My opinion is, maybe the club dont give a **** that much, but maybe they got dirty he was binned for blowing up at a ref. Then Rothfield worded it with a pinch of rum.

Seriously, not many people took notice of that article. I dunno why we are still talking about it

Yeah it's a nothing article. Just Rothschild furthering his agenda against A Fifita and selling some papers.

I'm just sticking up for the Fifitas for a bit. There's always more than one side to every situation.

It is probably a coincidence, either that of he is trying to insinuate the two brothers are a bad influence on each other.

So Rothschild accidentally centred his article on an umpire indiscretion and happened to posit the idea that the sharks were unaware of the Fifitas' participation in a comp?

He has an agenda.

Oh I see what you are getting at. I think Rothfields primary agenda is to get as many hits on his articles as possible whether they have any news value or otherwise. As a general rule I don't take too much notice of him.

All I can say is Andrew must be looking for a way to get out of his contract.

http://rugbyleagueweek.com.au/fifita-posts-support-lodge/

EMBATTLED rugby league star Andrew Fifita has been panned on social media for posting a message of support to troubled friend Matt Lodge.

Fifita took to Instagram to post a collage of photos of himself and Lodge.

Lodge was sacked by the Wests Tigers after he was arrested in New York City and charged with criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, criminal trespass, assault and menacing.

Since these charges were handed down the New York City District Attorney have upgraded the charges to burglary in the first and second degree.

Fifita followed the post up with the message: “Thinking of you brother”

Fifita’s post has been met with strong criticism from the public.

One user said: “Lock ‘em up and throw away the key. You and Matt are both losers whose parents have clearly failed in their responsibilities.”

Earlier this year, Lodge was sanctioned by the Tigers over an incident in early January.

In July, he was banned from attending Panthers junior rugby games for the rest of 2015 over his involvement in an incident during a game he was coaching.

Lodge played a total of 12 games for the Wests Tigers since transferring from the Melbourne Storm midway through the 2014 season

Gorman needs to impose a social media ban on this Numbskull!

Mate like it or not , you are judged on the people you associate with.
These latest comments on there own are nothing. However in conjunction with the list of his other behavioral f'ups I can assure you would be really testing Gormans patience.

then wade shouldn't be our future captain because he has been hanging out with Todd carney while he is in the country. Yep both our captain and future captain have been seen with the guy trying to sue us for 3 million dollars

Maybe graham and gal are trying to get out of their contracts as well...

Point taken I guess guys. However, I would suggest that Fifita publicly backing a bloke who appears to have committed some pretty serious crimes is completely different to Gal and Wade hanging with an Ex-player who has some grievances with his ex-club.

There's a smart way and a dumb way to support someone who genuinly needs a bit of help, but Andrew has chosen the dumb way by involving both social and commercial media.

We'll see how this all plays out in the end.
