Whilst i am saddened that my team the Bunnies are just not playing to the standard of most NRL clubs & took in another heartbreaking loss i took the time to watch the Sharks vs Titans game & came away very impressed for a number of reasons.
Firstly your combinations are working in your favour & the simple " pass - catch - draw the opposition- create space - - pass " plays are giving the Sharks a platform that looks pretty simple but is so effective especially if the opponents have no answer & Covell's two tries looked a joy to watch.
I was impressed with the games of Seymour & Seu Seu & i thought Seymour should have been given MOM.
Adam Peek served your side well as did Nutley & they will be important players for you when the semi's come around.
The class of Kimmorley, Bird & Gallen stood out, Douglas is an honest toiler & overall it was a good victory.
So it gave me something to cheer about but there is not a lot to say about Souths other than we deserve the spoon & we should start planning for 2009 now.

Yep That right todays win was a good win.IF The sharks can keep on playing like that for 80 min every week and just add a bit more in front of the try line
Then they will be hard to beat

P.S Hi just

hey coogee what do you reckon about the bunnies potentially signing barrett, i think 6barrett 7wing and 13sutton could go alright for you guys, but sounds more likely hell come to the sharks

Bort, i would prefer to sign Mathew Head before Barrett. He is probably the best player on the market atm & exactly what we need at Souths.

i think barrett/wing would go better than wing/head (which way around?)
head is good but, very injury prone though

I don't want to bow to the Channel 9 gods but isn't it ironic that the day we finally find our attacking flair Gus Gould is nowhere to be seen on a Sunday afternoon game.

Wonder what comments he would have made had he been in the box today?

yes, i pondered that as being a little ironic as well. where was he?

My guess is there won't be an analysis by Gould as he wasn't at the game. I doubt he would write a column just from watching it on TV.
He probably thought - bah, I'm not covering that boring team, the Titans will put 40 on this mob - well we are all having the last laugh now!

im just watching the replay on fox now as i was at the socceroos game last night....ITs a great win but just on my thoughts.......The monday night we played the bunnies rick said one day we will click and we will put any team to the sword...That surely happened yesterday, all of ricky and our plays came off including covells try and their was a bit of luck about poms try but you have to create ur own luck and noddy and the boys did that....we playes the conditions well, controlled the ball and our defence was once agiant a highlight and probably why we resticted the titans to only 14 and we scored 30......looking from the tv it didnt seem that the crowd figure of 8000 odd was justified it looked alot bigger than that and it sure sounded bigger. As a sharks and a nsw supporter id love to see poms in SOO but i just dont think he will once again it will only be gals and birdy.......Great win all the same now bring on another sunday game next week against the panthers....

Go u sharks

They moved the ball to Covells wing with precision & most players had a hand in his 2 tries.
The simple theory of willing forwards carting the ball up the middle & then spreading it with good hands & timing definately work a treat.
And Covell's finishing needs to be commended as well.
No fancy sidesteps, just straight running to the try line & using his momentum to slide across thus taking no chances of stuffing up a 4 pointer.
So simple but such a joy to watch.

key indicator as to why more nrl games should be played in the day. it makes for better attacking footy
