Sharks say Hello To New Corporate Partner
Thursday, March 26, 2009

On the eve of their local derby clash with the Dragons, comes the announcement that the Sharks have secured national tyre retailer Tyrepower as their new front of shorts sponsor for the 2009 season.

The largest independent retailer of tyres in Australia and New Zealand, with 240 stores across the country, including outlets in the Sharks ‘backyard’ at Kirrawee and Taren Point, Tyrepower is synonymous for offering their clients and customers the best brands, the most accurate advice and at the most competitive prices available.

“To secure a national company with a strong brand such as Tyrepower, considering the tough economic times we are all facing, is certainly a positive for the club and an endorsement of what the Sharks can offer a corporate partner,” Sharks Commercial Manager Paul Donaghy said. “We look forward to working with them and encourage both Sharks and NRL fans alike to ‘Say hello, to their local Tyrepower pro’.”

Joe Laws, NSW General Manager for Tyrepower, was anticipating a prosperous partnership with the Sharks. “Its good to get involved with a club like the Sharks which has a strong local community focus and we look forward to sharing their success during the 2009 season,” Laws said.

Beginning with the match against the Dragons at WIN Kogarah Oval on Sunday the Tyrepower logo will be prominent on the shorts of the NRL team.

Man, this is good news!! I must admit, I've been freaking out a bit about all these stories going around "Sharks to fold etc" Doesn't help that everyone I work with has been giving it to me, asking, "Who are you going to support when the Sharks fold, Haha"

VERY FU@KIN FUNNY...not

Is this the same shorts sponsor that was so morally outraged by Buster's night on the shame that they threatened to pull out of the deal?

Now it's OK to sign up because our playmaker copped a ridiculous penalty which may well of cost us 1 game already?

As if many Tyrepower workers aren't salt of the earth, blue collar type pissheads. They probably have 100s of employees who do exactly what Seymour did every week

If this is the same mob - fargen hypocrites. I won't buy a tyre from the fukkers ever.

i thought the whole "we've lost a sponser-we've found a sponser" thing is beyond laughable.

obviously they've got mutant retarded gimps running marketing and public relations at the sharks.
