The pigs up front were brilliant and gave these guys room. It’s just these 3 played unreal footy when it is pissing down.

3 Hynes - super display, scored a try, organised and kicked well and slotted 6 goals. 16 point haul.
2 Talakai - absolute beast. Made plenty of metres with the ball and hit strongly in defence.
1 Kennedy - looked very safe at the back, dangerous with the ball and great tackle to stop the Hunt try.

HMs - there were thousands of them. Ikuvalu was very impressive, as well as Brailey, Toby, Moylan and most of the forward pack.

3. Hynes - Still early, but he's already exceeded my high expectations
2. Kennedy - Never looked liked dropping one. I worried he may not be able to back up last year, but is playing incredible - words from the coach (post match interview) about Kennedy's training mindset was also really encouraging.
1. Talakai - Playing as good as we know he can. So happy he is bouncing back from a disappointing 2021.

I was at that same game but was sitting in the relative comfort of the ET stand. Even there though, the rain was pelting in sideways and the wind was bloody fierce and cold.
