Who does everyone see as realistically pushing for an origin jumper?
I don’t think anyone tbh.
I’m glad a red line has already sort of been put through Nicho, SOO talk, it stuffs him around & the team.
Can’t see Cam getting a look in.
same with Sifa.
I think both Robson & API are before Brailey (deservedly so on previous seasons form)
Wilton, imo, no, but I’ve never been sold on him like some Sharks fans & the hype he has internally.
Jesse, hand on heart no, there’s too many ahead of him but would love him to prove me wrong

I read a news item recently, Trindall was talking about origin being a goal, with respect to him, I think he is miles away from being considered. He needs to play those Cowboys games a few times a season & when he’s not, still be very instrumental in games.

That’s about it in terms of our eligibilities isn’t it?

Agree Re Wilton. Also agree Tricky. This year for him is about earning/ playing the equivalent of the Dough he is now on, at Club level. Consistency, good kicking and a bit of flair, picking when to do things at the right time. Of course that's also linked to/ reliant on off the field stability.

Glitterman was popular at one point...
And don't make me show you my Sharks tattoo, you'll be scarred for life!
(Well, where I'd put it, anyway. Still very scarring.)

Brailey (18th man)
Sifa
Trindall (18th man)
Hazelton

Those boys if team is picked on form are up there with the best for their spots/state

Ramien and Hynes could be too but more unlikely

I’d be happy for all our players to stay by the hell away from origin

I know where you're coming from but I'd prefer as many as possible playing SOO.
Nicho winning an origin game would be the best thing for him!
Unfortunately Nicho losing one would be the worst as he no doubt wears the blame again.

I might be content to just have a bunch of guys playing well enough to have themselves in the conversation this season.

One I do think can come close and would benefit a lot is Ramien - exposure to something like that could help lift him towards another level again.

I know what you mean but it’s 3 matches in the middle of the season.
I’m leaning towards or preferring Polynesian players or even a pommy reps over SOO players.

I know they play mid year tests but never 3.
We have two players already that are either the best or top 5 in their positions in Ronnie & AFB & we aren’t affected by them playing SOO.

The top teams seem to cope with it.

With current league structure you may well have a bye two of those weeks anyway
Could get injured or not back up (and just general extra wear) of course but my guess is all goes to plan you actually more likely to miss just one game than 3

Like you say Bundy though a few ineligible elites doesn't hurt

You will only get better by playing with / against the best.

That goes for our team and individual players.

That's why I feel this game in Vegas in great for our team. High profile game against a high profile team.

Yeh they do, I’m not saying we don’t want or embrace SOO players but when all things (players) are equal I’d be looking down the other factors like availability etc.

As much as SOO is a machine for the NRL it f#*ks up club footy or to be precise, Sharks, the last few seasons as my gauge.

Ronnie v Lomax, outside of Sharks fans, NRL fans in general might be divided on the two as to who’s best.
I have Sharks goggles on so I’m gunna say Ronnie but if a club was looking to sign either one & was gunna get one only & for the same money it’d be Ronnie for me.

Another eg, Tino v AFB, all things equal, I’m going AFB.

Just saying there’s more than one way to skin a cat & you don’t have to get SOO players to be a strong footy side.

Good point, I suppose I’m scarred from the Nicho circus around origin time the past 2 seasons which halted our (Sharks) momentum we had prior to it starting.

They lied when they said the pre-season challenge meant nothing...
Some interesting stats here. I like that we were tied for avg least points conceded per game.

IF Scummo had of been in any danger of losing his seat , Sharks would have gotten some $$$
That turd was just an opportunistic , fly by night used car salesman.
ZERO credibility, especially when it comes to REALLY supporting The Sharks .
Of course, he just aligned himself with a ' working class ' struggle street club to give an impression. More than likely a rooster in sharks clothing.
Does he still attend any games ?

Haha for real? That's nine and Tigers levels of crazy.
I think they'll break that tradition though
